Maybe my ideas was already written by someone... sorry if that.
Hmap should be wider.
for me, the greatest minus of gr, that car always breaking very fast when you don't push accelarator... on speed when you push brake or not push, car loose speed identical. Breaking very interesting part of the racing...
Car setting should be wider. Front drive, rear drive... balance maked very strange.
How much car loosing grip in drift. It will be very good setting, espesially for weather car changing.
Gears. Car can have different level of power, on different speed. Or on differents engine turn... whith can be realise different types of engines.
Hand break ... 5 button.

my only faults with GR:
- too much slowdown with lifting of throttle
- brakes are too powerful to be any real use other than pitting
- durability is tied to car's mass
- lack of support for actual front and four wheel drive
- too small grid size is boring for larger tracks
- tyre wear indicator indicates total 'health' of all the tyres, which is misleading

Haruna, GENERALLY IS PERFECT. With multiplayer and maaaaaaybe adding from 2 to 4 cars more, would be superb. That is all the game needs.

You may think that, but the pages (and pages and pages) of posts in this topic and other similar ones say that many, many others don't. GR is a very good game, I agree, but it could do with some changes.

If you hadn't noticed... those "flaws" are *really* minor.

now why there's not many bike games?? because simulating motorbiking is MUCH more complex than simulating driving cars.

Theres a GR-mod for rFactor by Strava, it has a 1st person view. :D

A bit off topic but this was very nice feature in Death Rally when you parked yourself in the other side of the road with a mine on the other, so the AI car would try to avoid you and hit the mine instead :twisted:

Yeah, if the cars have 10 AI value in car file, they just use the same line and wreck other ai players. :lol:

My requests:
Car folders (like track folders but for cars)
Car search (save time finding the car you want to drive)
More drivers/cars in a race (better gameplay)
Better AI
Texture option (cars only) Be able to map textures to cars' wheels and bodies to make them look more like a car.

My Wishlist:
More cars on track (10 would be nice, although if we could disable the limit then that'd be fun)
More realistic handling
Basic colour mixer for cars. (You can't make a very good orange or purple car at the momnet)
Object creator
More polys on cars
Select pallettes in game
Drivers have their own pit crew (which you can paint)

But my 1 big wish.....

- A multiple AI lines feature... However, it's not just an ordinary AI line feature, it's where you can put as many AI lines for every single lap just like in TurboSliders. So you don't have to worry if the single AI line you made is so fast that AI drivers are... Cutting the corners too much from what you'd expect
- Driver emotions, as seen in MiniRacingOnline. There, you can define how aggressive your AI when overtaking, how fast the AI drive, etc.

Hi folks,
there was an "official" Generally feature request list on the old forum.
Chapter 8.1.1 of the "unofficial Generally FAQ v4.2" ( http://www.gene-rally.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=236 ) contains a link to the old forum where supposedly the list was originally located.
I own the file and I could post it here, but I think it would be better if we have a sticked thread along with the FAQ and a mantainer (to avoid people posting already submitted ideas).
I couldn't find this list on this forum, sorry if it has already been posted or discussed.
