Do we have to follow pit entrance and pit exit lines on the track?

Still taking sign ups?

Seems as if Toyota is full, so I will drive for another. Will of course be willing to partner up with another incomplete zombie team if that is necessary.

First of all  greetings for the Panasonic Toyota F1 drivers! You can see your car below ;)
Greetings for Lucas and Bunchies too!

Some bugs have identified (again...) like:
- two sunk tires were needed in Silverstone where the new line connects to the old
- the fuel mass and the damage weren't on the correct numbers (50kg insted of 75kg and 10% insted of 20%)
(- AIs are too fast - but I don't want to change them before the first run. But after it. Maybe.)
Thanks Ivo for the warning! (:

So there is an updated pack again here (and in the first post so):
grf1_pack.zip
(1.67 MiB) Downloaded 195 times
Download it but not only because of the fixes. There is a new car too: Panasonic Toyota F1 has reborn from its ashes! (Isn't it beautyful? )
Image
To complete your GRF1 pack download Miguel's amazing sound-set. It makes you feel that you are just near the track!

BTW login informations have sent and I hope all of them have received :) Please let me know if you sill haven't any login name and/or password.
On the other hand (if we're speaking about the login) the website is still under constructions because of Resi's school and private life. But the host is working well, so you will be abele to login without any problems - with the difference that the login link will be available in this thread (in the first post and in the last one too).

@Gzehoo: It is really pity that you wanna leave but I understand somehow. On the other hand there are many adventeges of a strong comptetition for a rookie driver too! When you train with a powerful car and in tough pack than you can reach much better positions in a competition what really fits to you. So I advise you to think again and if you still wanna leave I will acknowledge it.

@Lucas: #00 is allowed. I send you the login infos immediately (:

@Ziffs: It is hard to follow that narrow way. So it would be kinda evilness to punish because of crossing that line. Only the line-riding is forbidden and only in the pit-lane!

Bunchies: I don't want to open other zombie-teams if it's not necessary. Don't you wanna team up with somebody? For example with Manzur at Honda F1. I can open Super Aguri but there is several empty seats still  (BTW #5 is already in use by mizzamar.)

@everyone: I'd like to recommend to your attention a new HL-competition managed by my fellow Hungarian GBM (aka. Danuka). Have a look at the forum thread and his website. If you are interested do not hesitate to join :bg:

@Madd Dogg

Yes, I can certainly join Honda F1. Just looked to see the already resurrected zombie teams.

So I guess this should work :)

How long are the login windows for the next rounds? The idea that there's only friday and saturday for qualy sounds too restricting. :hide:

It absolutely is! But fewer days for the race would sound much more restricting. Wouldn't it?

@Madd Dogg: I guess, many people won't be able to even get into the quali & race if the login window is that short. :hide:

For our Brazillian racers, we have solved the hosting issues of our website and have secured ourselves a new host and domain. :D

The new website will be shown to public, when I already uploaded all the files there.

Hi resir!

in my opnion, don't need other website.

Just alert brazilians for before enter in the grf1 website, to use a proxy, for example: http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy/

It's very easy, and all can see the page.

Of course race window should be longer. But the fact that it's friday and saturday for qualy means no more partying for 16 weeks. :P

Hm... what about a deadline at Sunday night with the same deadline? There's no party at Sunday :) And BTW the race window has been shortened because of that but we're still on the same track for a whole week. I hope, from this aspect, it wouldn't be that big problem.

Finally the login is active! You can login here!

Be sure that your GRF1 pack is actual. Please let me know in time if something went wrong with login. (Ignore the php error what would appear after login: the download still should complete succesfully.)

DEADLINE: Sunday, 23:59:59 (GMT) - please do not late!

The hunt is on!

Qualy done for me.

Q1 was correct
Q2 was awful
Q3 was ok

I'm not sure of how works the qualy, if my Q2 isn't enough to go through Q3 (as I expect), is my fast Q3 worthless?

@mplume: I edited your post so that it doesn't show the times. If you show the times it spoils part of the excitement. Furthermore, you hurt yourself by showing times since others see how fast you were and will do their best to beat at least you if no one else.

I'm not sure of how works the qualy, if my Q2 isn't enough to go through Q3 (as I expect), is my fast Q3 worthless?

Let me explain it by the help of an excel table. For you and for the others ;)

Image

You can see with dark-red, middle-red and light-red the times what give the positions (I used TuomoH's terminal instead of concrete times, haha! :D )

The two greens show the times what make the drivers get to the next session.

All the grey cells are containing ignored times.
It's kinda "cruel" solution to ignore awesome or correct times but we have limited possibilities due to the login system

BTW an other note: The table shows the case of 20 competitors. In the case of an other number Q3 still stays to be for up to 10 drivers. Only the eleminated drivers' number changes: in Q1 and in Q2 the eleminated drivers' number is the same (more exactly: +/-1). If all the driver's number is unpair we solve tha parity after Q3.

Ok it is what I was expecting. So I'll be stuck at Q2 and my good Q3 will be ignored. Ok, it's the same rule for everyone...
