Who plays Minecraft?
Re: Who plays Minecraft?
I'd rather see someone make a copy of the captain tripping and falling to the rescueboat.

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
Bukkit now belongs to Mojang, so there's no need to updates for it.

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
We've made some nice pixel arts on my friend's server, Pikachu is one of them.
Black Mage from Final Fantasy, my friend made it
My Megaman and Link and Zelda, made by my friend too.
Pac-Man, made by my other friend, the blue ghost was made by me, and the red was made by another friend.
My Charizard. It is not perfect but it's my best work so far. I am very proud of it.
EDIT - Some grammar corrections...

Yes, I know Zelda looks like a monkey on a jet-ski, but anyway...

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
1.2 should be out tomorrow (March 1)...apart from any last-second stuff Jeb adds beforehand, these are the highlights of we're getting:
Jungle biome
Ocelot mob
Zombies can break down wooden doors on Hard/Hardcore
Iron Golem mob defends villages, targets hostile mobs
New world file format (Anvil)
World height doubled to 256 (192 blocks above usual ground level)
New type of stone block available in Creative, no known use right now
As for my stuff...I haven't actually played for several weeks now. One of the display drivers on my computer is messed up, to the point where it will crash and force me into 640x480 and a limited color palette. I don't really know how this is affecting my computer long-term, so I'm trying not to do anything that has a great risk of causing another crash. I've looked on Dell's website to find an update for my display drivers, but the "update" they have is older than what I already have, so....yeah.
Once I manage to get that fixed, I'm most likely just going to start a new world for 1.2. I'm not really happy with how things were going in my 1.0 world, so I feel the best thing to do is start fresh.
Jungle biome
- New wood/leaf type
- Trees are much taller and covered in vines
Ocelot mob
- Can be tamed into housecats
- Can only be found in jungles
- Wolves are bred with chicken/pork/beef/zombie flesh
- Cats are bred with Raw Fish
- Mobs will actively attempt to navigate obstacles instead of making a beeline for you and getting stuck behind something
- Zombies are drawn toward villagers
- Creepers are scared of cats
- Skeletons and zombies attempt to run into water/under shade during day
- Automatically detect new houses
- Can open/close doors
- Can repopulate villages by breeding depending on number of houses
- Run into houses at night/during rain
- Flee from zombies
Zombies can break down wooden doors on Hard/Hardcore
Iron Golem mob defends villages, targets hostile mobs
New world file format (Anvil)
- Automatically generates existing worlds in new format
- Leaves a copy in the previous format for use with pre-1.2 versions of Minecraft
- Biomes are stored with each chunk instead of determined by world seed to avoid more biome shifts between version upgrades
World height doubled to 256 (192 blocks above usual ground level)
- Clouds now pass through structures again as cloud level was not raised
- Not new blocks, but game detects if placed below a block
New type of stone block available in Creative, no known use right now

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
It's out now.
I have to wait for a few days before updating though. Clearly because Bukkit haven't released their 1.2 server client yet, so I'm still waiting for it to come out and hopefully most servers will also update.

I would try the old driver. Dell is stupid like that sometimes where the newer drivers won't work with their computers for some reason...Flaming_Wuzzle wrote: As for my stuff...I haven't actually played for several weeks now. Re: Who plays Minecraft?
Okay, so, as I mentioned earlier, I wanted to start a new world with 1.2 now that my driver issues seem to be fixed. I spawned near the edge of a taiga biome, next to a river. Across the river, I dug out a small shelter. Unlike last time, though, I'm only leaving it as three rooms because I'm building an actual house on the land on top of it. I've made two attempts to build something...both were crappy cobblestone boxes, so I tore them down. Then I stumbled upon a couple of house-building tutorials that I liked, so I've been loosely following those to get something that actually looks like a decent house, though I am still tweaking the look of it, especially now that I have differently-colored wooden planks. I only have the first/ground floor done for now, I want to get the template finalized before I start building higher. The plan, eventually, is to have three floors, with my bedroom on the third.
Today I spent most of my time clearing out and reshaping the land to make a tree farm. If I have it counted right, it should support 28 trees, though I don't know how I'm going to split it between pine/oak/birch/possibly jungle.
Pictures will come once I have more things complete.

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
Welp, I desided to go at it again and create a new world.
And where do I end up spawning? On top of a huge forest. Oh it's going to be a joy to get down from here!

Well, are you going to upload your world somewhere?
Re: Who plays Minecraft?
When it's done. Now i am making a piston door wich the mooshroom will activate with a pressure plate in its room.
In there there will be some kind of adventure or something.

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
Phew! Got my hands back on Minecraft once again, now I'm at Level 6, and smelted 40 and counting IRON ORES to INGOTS and got my IRON SWORD.
I wish my brother doesn't touch my Survival Game, since I want that to be my SOLO game.

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
One of the bigger snapshot updates in a while came out today.
The highlights:
Desert-specific villages made from sandstone
Pyramids
- Contains hidden chest room with TNT trap
Trading with villagers for supplies
- Available items include weapons, armor, bottles of experience
Emerald ore
- Used as currency for trades
- Requires Iron Pickaxe or better to mine
Enderchest
- Recipe is Eye of Ender surrounded by eight Obsidian
- Multiple Enderchests share the same inventory
- Inventory survives even if all Enderchests are destroyed
- Double Enderchests are impossible to create
- One Enderchest inventory per world (all players share it in MP)
- Apparently same blast resistance as Obsidian
- Works across dimensions
Golden Apples
- Re-added old recipe for Golden Apples (Apple surrounded by eight Gold Blocks)
- Gives Regeneration IV 0:30, Resistance 5:00, and Fire Resistance 5:00
- "New" Golden Apples (Apple + eight Gold Nuggets) still exist, but no longer glow
Empty buckets are stackable (up to sixteen)
Boats no longer break from contact with lilypads

Re: Who plays Minecraft?
Yet another Minecraft phase of me started once more. But this does not affect on my interest to other games, also .
