I need help with modelling

Post by Sutinen »

Sorry, for Off-topic but I couldnt find any other place to ask this.
Someone should make an 3d modelling tutorial for generally. I cant really find the technique to keep the model low-poly. I have over 30 polys per side and I dont know how to import the model to generally :(

Well, you could help by telling how to convert the files to generally.

No idea.. Strava had tutorials or something. You can make the models with Juan's Car Editor, it's much easier ;)

Sure.. Just create the model button. You should read the manual, too.

Exactly, I never could work out zModeler despite the millions of tutorials but GR Car Editor is a doddle to use.

I know, even if zmodeler is more complicated, I can use it, but I cant use car editor...

Zmodeler is just easier this way:
Create>Surface>Flat.
Then create a box in the left view.
Then you make the object. Make 0 horinzontal and 0 vertical steps.
Then comes Create>Faces>Strip. Then when you click your object, vertex's appear! :wow:
Then you can start to build your car.

But car editor: I cant get even in the start...

Open the program, open up a car file, export it out (even better if it's an already-empty model), click the X on the left until the polies are all gone (unless it's already empty), click the "shadow" box, then do the same again, click on it again, then click the new icon (1st one in on the left). You've got the first poly set. ;)

How to attach polys to one car?

You just select poly's vertex to a one you've already made. Look at other cars and learn.

After clicking the 'triangle' for new poly, you have got three vertexes on the left. Just change them for other, existing vertexes.

Well here's a tutorial for you as you clearly need it.

If you still didn't get it, I don't understand what's your problem.
