I need help with modelling
I need help with modelling
Sorry, for Off-topic but I couldnt find any other place to ask this.
Someone should make an 3d modelling tutorial for generally. I cant really find the technique to keep the model low-poly. I have over 30 polys per side and I dont know how to import the model to generally

If you need advice and cannot find related topic, where to ask, don't worry make new one next time.
My GR Racing Stats; thanks to GWR!

Thanks, I just felt like this forum was for in-game problems and bug reports...Ivo Porc wrote:If you need advice and cannot find related topic, where to ask, don't worry make new one next time.
Re: I need help with modelling
Learn from looking others models and don't waste polies and verticles. Simple.
Re: I need help with modelling
Well, you could help by telling how to convert the files to generally.Quklis wrote:Learn from looking others models and don't waste polies and verticles. Simple.
Re: I need help with modelling
No idea.. Strava had tutorials or something. You can make the models with Juan's Car Editor, it's much easierSutinenn wrote:Well, you could help by telling how to convert the files to generally.Quklis wrote:Learn from looking others models and don't waste polies and verticles. Simple.
Re: I need help with modelling
CAN YOU CREATE MODELS WITH IT??? I make them with zmodeler.
Re: I need help with modelling
Sure.. Just create the model button. You should read the manual, too.Sutinenn wrote:CAN YOU CREATE MODELS WITH IT??? I make them with zmodeler.
Re: I need help with modelling
I just found out, that I need to convert my 3ds files to OBJ files and I cant find a coversion tool that I can trust. Some of them can have viruses and trojans...

Re: I need help with modelling
You can get the help file from the site
If you can use zmodeler I don't understand what's so hard in car editor

Re: I need help with modelling
Exactly, I never could work out zModeler despite the millions of tutorials but GR Car Editor is a doddle to use.
Re: I need help with modelling
I know, even if zmodeler is more complicated, I can use it, but I cant use car editor...
Zmodeler is just easier this way:
Create>Surface>Flat.
Then create a box in the left view.
Then you make the object. Make 0 horinzontal and 0 vertical steps.
Then comes Create>Faces>Strip. Then when you click your object, vertex's appear!
Then you can start to build your car.
But car editor: I cant get even in the start...

Re: I need help with modelling
Open the program, open up a car file, export it out (even better if it's an already-empty model), click the X on the left until the polies are all gone (unless it's already empty), click the "shadow" box, then do the same again, click on it again, then click the new icon (1st one in on the left). You've got the first poly set.

Re: I need help with modelling
You just select poly's vertex to a one you've already made. Look at other cars and learn.Sutinenn wrote:Sorryy BIG DOUBLEPOST

Re: I need help with modelling
Not helping at all. Just tell me how to make new poly with old vertex's, I dont want to read that long tutorial.
Re: I need help with modelling
After clicking the 'triangle' for new poly, you have got three vertexes on the left. Just change them for other, existing vertexes.
Re: I need help with modelling
Ive been doing that for hour, and still not any good results...Paw wrote:After clicking the 'triangle' for new poly, you have got three vertexes on the left. Just change them for other, existing vertexes.
Re: I need help with modelling
Well here's a tutorial for you as you clearly need it.
If you still didn't get it, I don't understand what's your problem.
