True, classical music can be great at points. It's just that the conserttos(or something like that) often have a 5 minute climax and then about 1,5 hours of random notes put together.

This is the one I love the most: Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRMz8fKkG2g . Such a beautiful piece of art. I'd love to hear this live.

Classical music rocks!!! LoL :roflmao:
Guess which radio I had when I played Test drive unlimited on my PS2?? :geek:
There's a Youtube channel that has all the classical songs of TdU and there's also a channel called MBWRsoundtrack that has all the songs from Merecedes-Benz World racing.

When it comes to just listening, I love hard rock, metal and so but when it comes to racing games... I also like other genres  .

I have to say I haven't found any new artists or bands from there though.

For those interested, here you can see a part of my collection.

I've left out some albums though, as it is a metal site, especially the hip-hop and r&b I do have and perhaps some jazz and soul too.

My music taste...well somehow it depends on my mood which music I like to listen to.

So it is a range from
Joss Stone,
Norah Jones,
Katie Melua,
Amy MacDonald,
Nelly Furtado
to
Greenday,
Nightwish,
Volbeat,
Apocalyptica,
Metallica.

I also like certain songs of artists like Cranberries, Joe Cocker, The Corrs, Beatles, Queen...

In between there are certain songs I just catch from the radio but that doesnt mean that I like all music of that artist then...
I also listen to Pandora online radio which gave me already some inspiration...unfortunately only available with hotspot shield :headbang:

And as classical guitar player I of course play, rather than just listening to, classical music. And my heart as rock guitarist of course likes all music where you can hear some good piece of electric guitar.

Last but not least you get influenced by other cultures. So when your wife is Indian then you get to know and like Indian music too which is quite different to what we usually listen to in the West.

Mustan Kuun Lapset - Viimeinen Laulu Kuolemasta.
One of the best albums that I've listened to. Pure melodic, yet heavy, malancholic, yet powerful piece of Metal. I recommend it to anyone interested in Metal music.

So it's ok to have the name of the band non-translated but not the song? In other words, here
Paw wrote:Mustan Kuun Lapset - Viimeinen Laulu Kuolemasta
one wouldn't need to translate "Mustan kuun lapset" but would need to translate "Viimeinen laulu kuolemasta"?

(Children of the Black Moon - The Last Song About Death, btw)

(Just nit-picking - in Finnish you don't use capital letters in band or song names apart from the first letter. ;) )

TuomoH wrote:So it's ok to have the name of the band non-translated but not the song? ...
Well, it can be even all untranslated, but it needs a comment around in English, like ''I like this song/album'' or something other to let us know understand, what's going on. If I would make post with only ''Tublatanka - Skúsime to cez vesmír'', you would just know nothing too. What if I wrote in Slovak ''I think - some of us listen just bloody s..ts''? :really:
No, it means ''Will try it through the Universe''. it's this album of band really called Tublatanka. :)

I checked it out, the style is not exactly my "cup of tea", but pretty good stuff anyway :bg:

I can recommend Wintersun's album Wintersun ( :D ) to every fan of metal, and why not others too. It's melodic death metal with some folk influences. Maybe the best music I've ever heard  It's their first and only album so far, but they're supposed to release 2nd album this year.

Also the whole discography (4 albums) of Insomnium is amazing. They also play melodic death metal, and they have lots of influence from the 'Gothenburg metal'. They have a very melancholic sound.
