let's end up this!
put that random letter typer when you sign up. and when you log in.
it's safe and don't has spammers.
because spammers are computers, not humans. they're programed to get people angry. and i'm really angry!

This is essentially spam in itself.

No, this isnt spam, its a problem that has to be solved - and it can be solved!

I agree. In presence I'll looking for improvements. But the ''higher'' number of of spam in last two days is not so big problem, it just takes more time to delete it (it stays visible in forum for longer than obviously), because from most active mods (TuomoH, Buka, me) are two away for a week. Buka on vacations and Tuomo on business trip.

In presence (since January) we use system of human verification of registrations:
very complex CAPTCHA
question with drop down box
verification mail

so our system is not anything completely simple btw (it makes the number of spam registrations very low in average), but as I said:

If you have problem with bots i have a solution for that. But if the spamposts are done by real People there is nothing you can do

I found already some inspirational things (e.g. the question with random hex, very interesting CAPTCHA etc.), but I must read some more manuals and guides, how to do it/install it correctly and then I'll test it. If needed, I'll ask you, but I think, that it will not be necessary.

BTW guys, you can expect some short planned downtimes during this weekend related with including the improvements.

i don't know if those spams are made by real people, but if it is, they don't have anything better to do in their life than annoying people?

No, that wouldn't help. If they've beaten the system once, they'll beat it again, and it also annoys normal users.

OK, I did following changes in registration procedure:
1. CAPTCHA - I re-tuned it and added an engine modification, which changes of name of the picture with code to unique hash (of random length), so the CAPTCHA should be now more resistant than default one.
2. added second question - number question.

I have some more tricks ready, if it will not help. (I want to do as less modifications as possible, because every next modification increases danger of problem/crash/mistake - I'm not big expert in coding.)
