I just had a quick read of it. It seems that unfortunately the source finished in the hands of the wrong people, not in the sense of know-how, as I'm sure they are bright intelligent people but maybe because of time/family constraints. The outcome was not reached. GR2 seems a phantom project for me....

The world is too small... can we contact the Rabina Brothers. Do we have names and surnames of such people. Maybe through facebook/other methods we can contact them. The rabina brothers gave the source code to some people to further develop right. However development seems now finished on generally....

Personally I think that the rabina brothers gave away the source code of generally to some people, not to keep it for themselves but to improve it for all the community to enjoy.

I set all my tracks using zoom 105, in this way all the track fit in the screen and cars keep the same size always. (As in figure 1).

Just was thinking if I'm doing a mistake and better keep the zoom level normal as in figure 2.

I not mistaken the makers of Generally2 will fix some small issues with Generally.

Do not know what work does this feature involve but would be interesting to have, so that tracks look more realistic.

Is it possible to change the background texture behind the track and make it grass/mud/ice as needed. The image below is with photoshop to understand what i mean.

According to the blog update Generally v1.2c will have an ultimate update to fix some minor bugs, but no new updates. The original author/s of Generally were not James and Markku right. They asked permission and was granted for them to work on both the original generally1 and then decided to start generally2. I think that permissions/copyright were given to develop something with/for the community and not to go sil...

Can the more experienced people here who are still active in this forum/game continue to develop at least Generally1?

I do not see a reason why the developers of GR2 are finding it hard to make a 1-liner and say that the project will or not continue.

Don't remember the details but the source code was handed to James to be used with his team and his team only 1. I agree 100% that this generally community without pointing fingers to anyone took a negative approach to the project. If the fund raising project failed it was not just the fault of the...

Can someone please remind me what had happened with the source code of generally. To whom did the Rabina brothers gave the code? What was the agreement between them?

I cant understand the WHY, the developers have not issued a statement regarding the future of this project, being positive or negative.

What happened here? "silence is golden" and that's it no more updates!
