I'm going to start up GeneRally after a long time just to drive this! Congrats, you still got it.

Re: Duration of racing light
I think TuomoH (?) wrote a piece of software that emulates the starting lights sequence for training purposes. It's a stretch, but he might have the exact value.

Re: Guess-a-Track
Sorry for interrupting the game, but I just wanted to say that I like what XYY did a few posts back, attaching the whole picture of the track in question, once it had been guessed. I really wish this would become a standard thing in this thread. Just my :2c: , don't let me bother you guys at your ga...

Re: Abandoned WIP Thread
It's about time I stop lying to myself that I'll ever get around to finishing these tracks.
There are 15 tracks in the .zip, so I didn't screencap them all. Most of them aren't worthy of finishing IMO, but I thought I would share nevertheless.

These look very good, you're on the right track (no pun intended).
You should probably include the [tpk] tag in your first post.

Re: [rwl] [cir] [ovl] Pocono Raceway
Since no one else is willing to comment, I will, even though I haven't driven the track. I'm not a fan of ovals, and I don't know a lot about how an oval should be, but by the looks of it you've made a great track. Objects are put with great taste, and the track looks really alive. But please tell m...

[tpk] [roa] Joint Effort Tree #04
Nope, this is not Chuck Testa, it's the real deal. JETpack #4 is finally here! JET04_poster.jpg 15 guys made this one happen, with Paw making the starting square. All tracks are road courses, with a few stages thrown to the mix. I owe everyone who participated, and everyone else who merely waited fo...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
This is kind of a good news/bad news situation, depends on whether your glass is half full or half empty. If it's the latter, I regret to tell you this pack is not going to be released any time soon. Reasons for that lay behind a simple fact, that the unfinished pack is buried somewhere on my deskto...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Guys, I'm really sorry for the delay, but I was away all this time and couldn't work on the project since the last time I posted. I hope I'll find some time soon, even though I'm in over my head in college work. I just wanted to let you know that this isn't dead, please bear with me. :sweatdrop: Mer...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
How about rock types? That could work. I imagine names like Skarn, Quartz, Porphyry, Limestone, Oolite,... :cool2: Sadly I have to inform you guys, that I bit off more than I can chew with that "release date" I promised last week. Due to increased workload and some other stuff going on, I...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
How about mountain names? Even though it's an attractive idea, I'll repeat what I said in one of the previous projects; I'm against naming our tracks with names of actual places, as the names can be misleading. For instance, if I see a track named "Everest", I'll expect an offroad mountai...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
Sorry I didn't update you guys, it somehow slipped my mind.. Emil sent me his tracks, meaning I now have all tracks and I'm slowly putting them in order (some are missing or have bad AI lines or similar issues). And I (again) thank you, Brix , for offering your hand in this project. I'll reserve you...

Actually, this layout has been posted by Dragon 3 weeks ago, although it's similar to the previous layout made by Dan.WouterVL wrote:Wait a sec... we've been stuck with this (not Ovalslide) track for like three years now. Someone, make a new track! (maybe me )

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
I have all tracks now except for Emil's. I haven't heard from him at all, and I can't see whether he's been active or not.. His latest post was on June 6th, which kind of worries me. :? Has anyone heard from him recently? :worried: Do we have someone who would be willing to take the last square if n...

Wow, I didn't even know we had a speedway like this in Slovenia. In any case, the track is solid, I only wish you made the actual track a bit closer to bottom edge of the map, it's a bit "far" as it is now, if you know what I mean. You got the flags spot on as far as the coat of ar...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
I recived tracks from Buka, puttz, Frukis and Scholl , and I'm still waiting for cocney, Emil and CamrosX to send me the files. My email remains unchanged, I sent the files to everyone from it. Honestly, I thought in the 2 weeks I was absent, pretty much all tracks will be waiting for me in my inbox...

Re: Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort
How many tracks we have to do? Your job is to make the last square, and then FTs for the whole track. If you decide to make multiple versions or layouts, that's ok, but basically it's only 1 track you need to do. :geek: I apologise for not answering some emails, but I've been on work/vacation for t...
