Re: Joint Effort Track Project

Hey guys the tracks looks sick!! I must say that I really dig the starting grid placed in that parking lot. Also the swimming pool at the bottom is quite neat :) I was messing around in the track editor, and I was wondering how you guys feel about the track width. It feels slighly claustrophobic to ...

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. Previews and Teasers v2

Almost ready to release I think. Any ideas what to make better? Cocney: I think not,.. I think dithering is well made. - Fix the hmap, those bumps are just way too extreme and don't seem to fit very well the context (I mean, the muddy road seems less bumpy than the modern looking road?) - The way r...

So basically nothing like the 5 minute challenge?

I think you should take a little more time to explain what you wanna do here :)

Re: [cir] Wexford

I understand what you mean. Now that you mention it i started thinking about when new trackmakers post their first track and people always tell them as a suggestion to add dithering, when the tracks clearly needs other things to be improved first. I might also be guilty of giving too much importance...

Re: [stu] Sundae & Daesun

I honestly feel like the fact that you posted so many tracks in such little time isn't so ideal cos then people don't have the time to digest all these tracks. It's like if you had 10 awesome movies at the cinema at the same time, people would just focus their attention on one or two of them, even i...

I must say that I really really like the style you went for in this track. Normally I felt like your tracks were just a little bit plain, but in this one the dithered areas really make the track a lot more interesting, while still keeping the old Qurpiz clean and elegant style :) Was this little cha...

Re: [stu] [ral] Riverhill

My initial impression was that this track had something slightly odd that bothered me, but I couldn't say what it was. After a while of driving I just suddenly realized that the edges of the sandbox completely destroyed the "rhythm" of the track. It feels like you just wanted to fit all th...

Re: [ral] Scrapes

I noticed you didn't get any reviews or opinions on this track so I figured I'd say something. I like the fact that you combined object-placement experimentation to lmap experimentation, cos some of the other abstract tracks always seemed a little bit plain to me. The textures are quite interesting ...

Re: [ral] Giant Stone Rally

I will start by saying that I download like 5% of the rally tracks that are posted, cos I don't really like rally stages and rally cross, and the most of the other tracks usually are just an off-road rally in a forest/desert with a boring layout... So, I actually believe that your track is my favori...

Nice to see someone experimenting with stuff around here! I really liked bragi's style so I guess I like this track too. I like the fact that you didn't straight up copy him but you made sure to make this track unique :) Maybe the AI could have been a little stronger, but i'm not saying it's bad :) ...

I still wanted to ask if the community can do anything to help with GR 2, because I think that there would be a lot of people who are just itching to help you guys with the project.

Re: GeneRally 2 - Kickstarter Launched

Looks like we won't meet the goal :( That's too bad, maybe in a couple of months you can try again with a better publicity campaign ready to go. And maybe you can rethink some of the feature sets (like *cough* number of cars in the free version), or come up with a couple additional pay things that ...

Thanks for the comments :pumpkin: We did a challenge where we both had one hour to edit the track however we wanted. We did it simultaneously and the results are quite different. One of the tracks is made by Aleksi and one by Darjo, you can vote which one you prefer. We'll reveal later who did which...

[cir] Spockerino - by AleksiNir and Darjo

Greetings my brethren :hattip: Since Aleksi came to Italy for some time (best friends forever <3) we decided to make a track to honor the good ol times. We started this track cos we wanted to try streaming while trackmaking to try something different. Sadly that didn't work out because of my sub-par...

Re: GeneRally 2 - Kickstarter Launched

I feel like the way the project is presented is a bit underwhelming. The fact that only one track is showed in the video is, in my opinion, a very bad mistake. One of the best features of GR is being able to easily create a lot of content (tracks, cars etc.). Creating like 4-5 tracks doesn't take mu...

Re: [tpk] [cir] [ral] Aliss

I don't mean to be offensive, but it seems that all you do is making a layout in SE, pasting a texture and adding objects. I feel like you should be spending more time on each individual track, by adding details, diversifying textures and choosing more interesting ways to position objects. Try to gi...

Re: [cir] Swooce

I feel like the layout and hmap were awesome when you posted the track in the WIP section, but I don't like the final execution so much... I guess your style is not my cup of tea. I just don't like wide lines (2px) and those randomly placed objects :(
