1967 Grand Prix [for] [ser]
This car set is based on the cars from the Grand Prix Legends racing game. Originally released in 2002, this is an updated version. The cars have much better brakes and more downforce to keep them on the ground over humps and bumps. Files included: GP67_V2.car 7 different GP cars. Each with it's own...

Has anyone tried "Circuit Superstars" ?
I still play GeneRally a lot and continue to make cars and tracks and I would  LOVE  to see GR2 come to completion. In the meantime, while we wait, this game may be a worthy successor to GR. It's a top down, keyboard game with excellent graphics, physics, and AI. The cars are "T...

Re: What type of controller do you use to play GeneRally?
I use an old Atari 2600 joystick. It works very well for me because I have been driving racing games with a joystick since the days of the Atari 2600. Then on the Comodore 64, and then on PC-DOS and Win 3.1 racing games. I didn't get a wheel until Win XP and Grand Prix Legends. For details on how to...

Karting Tracks [kar] [tpk]
I was searching the web for some info on a local indoor karting venue when I stumbled on a company with several tracks in the south east U.S.A. They had some good pictures(drawings actually) of several of their tracks. The pics looked like they would make a good starting point for some LMaps so.... ...

Racing Kart and Tracks [kar] [tpk]
This pack includes the racing Kart I made back in 2002 and an improved version with a little more grip and faster steering for more Kart like handling. Also included are 2 wav files for the characteristic 4-stroke pop-pop-pop sound that most karts have. And a set of 16 WS100 tracks designed for the ...

GRPalEdit V1
This is my old palette editor from 2005. It runs OK on both an old Win7 laptop and my new Win10 machine. The old setup.exe might say there is not enough disk space. Click install anyway and it should work. GRPalEdit_V1_Install.zip GRPalEditV1.png Here is a good track for testing palettes. It has one...

How to drive GeneRally with a Joystick
GeneRally was obviously designed to be driven with the keyboard. But, I have always wanted to try it with a joystick or steering wheel. Modern joysticks and wheels use potentiometers and do not work well with GR. What GR needs is 4 on/off switches like the old Atari 2600 joysticks. And ya know what?...

Re: "No supported resolutions could be found."
Sorry to bump an old thread but... After running GR on Win10 for a few years with no problems I got this error today. Strange thing, I had just run GR ok, exited it to get a snack, and got the error when I tried to start GR again!! After trying lots of things what fixed it was... changing the name o...

Re: [cir] Haase Circuit
seems that you put things on the track that first came to your mind. I would disagree with that. It looks like a lot of thought and work was put into objects and lmap. A nice looking track :bg: The darker tarmac color for skid marks in the corners is a nice touch and well done. It's a fun drive wit...

Re: [cir] Valeluna201
Here's the GPL/rFactor track.
The trees are fairly far away ( about 55 meters ) most of the way around, but come very close to the track thru the esses at the top.

Re: [cir] Valeluna201
Actually, the GPL track has a wall of trees all the way around on both sides of the track. But, if I had done this track that way the only good driving view would have been straight down :P IMHO many GR tracks have WAY too much stuff. They look crowded and busy. The real world has lots of big open s...

Re: [cir] Valeluna201
Thank you all for such kind words.
I do find it interesting that over 80% of the ppl that looked at this thread and the pics decided not to download the track.
Track layout may LOOK simple, but TRY racing the AI on this one!

This track layout is from the C64 version of Pit Stop II. I made a version of it for GPL a long time ago. And later made a GR version. I am currently converting it to rFactor and that inspired me to make a new version of it for GR. This one is a larger world size and has a more realistic track width...

How about allowing each author 1 topic for car reuploads in the car forum and one for track reups in the track forum?
Require a keyword such as REUP in the title to make these easy to see.
