Re: GeneRally 2 - Kickstarter Launched
I've been a part of many Kickstarter projects, and things can turn on a pin point, and the majority of funding does happen in the first few days, and the last few... so it's still certainly possible. I was unsure whether the goal would be met at the start regardless of how popular Generally is, or i...

Re: GeneRally 2 - Kickstarter Launched
Woot! Whilst I only went in at the physical copy tier... I was the first person to back it, so I've got that accolade :D It's a better start than I honestly expected, so we'll see how the mid-way lul that affects all Kickstarter projects affects this one. ...and just on the 'issue' of Unity, the eng...

Re: The current condition of the Joint Effort track projects
Maintain two separate projects: As many others, I believe this is still the best option. Whilst I may have had one or two of my very few tracks 'nominated' in the past, I would still feel a increased amount of pressure if I was to make a JE square and it be in-between two trackmasters I admire, whe...

Re: Mini Track Remix
Hey everyone, long time no post :D For better or for worse I decided to 'partake' in this, always loved the mini track remixes, so I thought I might as well contribute, gives me a reason to open up the track editor again. A slight spin-off if you will of my "Namcap track series", a rally t...

I am not in Generally that much anymore but it is my pleasure and honor to vote for ToM. Thank you Buka for organizing this election. I hope that I will increase number of my track listed for ToM. I feel this statement truly. Anything that can help keep it running though I'll be glad to assist in, ...

Well, that should be you, Wouter, Martyn and Luke then, with me as a reserve if the other 3 can even remember this old dog.puttz wrote:I might give this a shot, although my trackmaking is probably not at all up to par with anyone else's skills And I definitely would not be doing the first square.

Re: [cir] Deep Forest Raceway
Whilst I agree, at first viewing it looks brilliant. A few object placements look a tad rushed (I should know, all my tracks have this :P ) The gates at the top, especially the rightmost ones could certainly use a bit of uniform placement, a bit too over the place at the moment. Also, the bridges co...

MidnightRunner, it might not work, but have you tried some small patches of dirt/grass-2 around the lot to make it look a bit like grime?
Might just spice it up a little more and add a bit of character, but at the moment, looks fun

Really, I don't think there can be much criticism for this track, whilst it's not a masterpiece, there is nothing wrong with it at all. It might just be bordering on the lines of "seen it before" but this has little touches, like the canyons, the dirt tracks and the layout works really wel...

Re: [oth] [roa] Child's Play
Seeing as this this seems to be the current general discussion for Generally tracks, I'll just chip in, with some extended thoughts to add to everything else. As many of you are aware, I have been part of the GeneRally Family for quite some time, and as such, have seen the climb of the standards tra...

Re: [oth] [roa] Child's Play
I can see what's been done, and achieved here...... ...But, I can't help but thinking if someone without Tuomohs reputation released this, it'd had some ordinary "check out the tutorial section" comments. I mean, to drive on, it's rather tame, and looks... are... non-existant. I appreciate...

Re: [ral] Koopa Beach
I actually really enjoyed it. It's a break from the standard tracks we have here every day, those to me, are boring. This might not be the most pleasing on the eye, but what there is to look at, is done well. And the main priority for the track, being something fun, it has achieved. I would have per...

Re: [cir] Ciudad Capital
I don't really see the need for improvements here? Yes, nothing is perfect, but this track doesn't 'need' anything else from my point of view. Maybe the pits could use some work, as they do look a bit dull in comparison to other tracks, but they fit in well with the theme of this particular one. The...

Re: [ovl] [mic] Steboy
Possibly one of my favourite micro tracks ever. It's odd it's got a relatively low rating compared to other similiar tracks by arguably more recognisable people on here, as this holds everything you'd want from a mic track, it is cute, it's fun to drive, it has a unique touch in the pits and the obj...

However, I see Martyn is currently, or should be currently doing squares for both this and the Joint Effort Big Wigs, I respect your inputs to the cause good sir, but perhaps a bit more speedy next time aye?

Hello and welcome to the forums! If you're going to upload tracks, please (a) don't forget to put tags as mentioned in the track upload handbook and (b) please choose a more significant name, like "Slushie's tracks". You may as well release your tracks in single topics, as most of the guy...

Re: Joint Effort Amateur Track Project
If you can do your piece before the next weekend (5th/6th) Then by all means go ahead now, as the track can be done anyway with any 'slice'. It's just I might not have time until then, so we might be able to get this finished in a week if you were to go now and do the east slice if that was your wis...

Well, I've been out of trackmaking for a while, but how hard can it be to do one slice?
I'll happily chip in and fill in the final spot, just to get this finished. I can start today, right now... or wait till next weekend, it's all up to how C-DAC wants to work
