[cir] [ral] [tpk] Allaranta Airport

Well, time for a Generally session again! Here's a pair of old runways converted into a rallycross track, a one-on-one track and a tarmac racing track.
Have fun! :goal:

(Note: the one-on-one track requires the AI to start in first place)

[stc] Toronto Fort York Street Circuit

A fictional street circuit located in Toronto, next to the real world Indy circuit in Exhibition Place. This track winds its way around the Fort York complex, before blasting back to the S/F line, threading the needle through the Princes' Arch gate. A map of the track in the real world: http://www.s...

Re: [stc] JE79 - Eco City

Beautiful! Good job guys, looks like just one person made it. The city feels very organic.
A little bit of dithering on the bits where the route crosses the sidewalks would perhaps make it little clearer, but that's a minor gripe.

Re: Track Ideas, W.I.P. Previews and Teasers v2

A long time ago, some people made a thread about dream tracks drawn in Google Earth: http://forum.generally-racers.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3245&p=70068&hilit=toronto#p70068 I loved the look of Bruno's Toronto one, on Lakeshore Boulevard: Toronto_Street_Circuit.jpg Pretty serious WIP, nee...

Nice use of invisible walls in the town! As Bruno said, I like rallies that go through a stadium, gives a fun sense of scale.

It makes me want to do the whole thing in one go, like on your map... One for GR 2 maybe? :D

Re: [roa] [stg] Azure Touge (Mt. Azure)

Here's one... :) 5/5 :greenfg: :greenfg: :greenfg: :greenfg: :greenfg: Fun and clever. That's one very long track, and yet I don't feel that I'm just doing loads of boring turns to squeeze distance into a small Generally area. Neat design, and quite a hard one too, if you're blasting along in a Pike...

Oooookay, so I was wanting to make a [stc] version of Spa, and it was a bit of a train wreck, so I tweaked it a bit and added a giant chessboard... Includes a night-time version, using Maciej's palette: http://maciej.webnode.com/other-stuff/ Edit2: fixed attachments. Ah, thank you for sympathetically explaining why it's time to move on in terms of development. I was always kind of confused why these features couldn't be added - they are going to be, just not in the existing v1.2 code. I like the "hope it doesn't fall apart bit". :D http://sequel.gene-r...

Urgh, just could not get into a rhythm with the F3s, pulled a mad bunch of laptimes there. Good challenge though! Good luck all.

Rules say nothing about it, so naturally a pit stop is not mandatory. :) Sorry for the confusion, I was just remarking on my inability to keep my very expensive car out of the wall... :D http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/l-1y899qgvg/hqdefault.jpg http://www.darcyf1.com/videos/wtcc/2013/macau/thumbs/44953.jpg

Re: GeneRally Macau Grand Prix 2013 by GRMFED [Race/Login]

So, ummm.... average number of pit stops anyone? I had to make 1 in the GT3, 2 in the WTCC (one for ~50% damage repairs...) :D
Mind you, all the vids I saw of this track had safety cars on the first lap, so maybe I'm not actually that bad...

Re: [ral] [stg] [tpk] Rally Barborka 2012

As TH said - I've no idea what I'm doing. The track is complicated, fine and fun, but can't be worked out, other than examining track editor. Maybe a few little cues from cones or Lmap marks? Or even just an edited screenshot for reference. As to the actual tracks, they're beautiful! Really gorgeous...

Sorry for the long delay, bit of a hectic week. I've added a couple of new versions to the zip, with changes to start the start position (good idea!) and an "ultra-meta" version with no objects save for a few cones to mark the route.

+ Fun layout; as you say, who the heck wouldn't wanna race on a railway track?! :D + Lovely railway texture. - Kind of confusing layout, but easy to grasp once the AI have lead you round a few times. - Lines down the middle of the road are made of the ice texture, and so look wrong and a bit blotchy...

Awesome! Has a lovely homogeneous feel to it, and yet each stage also feels distinct. Brilliant job, I only wish there were more stages!
