Re: GeneRally 2 feature request list

Such a shame. I may not be a great or prolific contributor but I feel I need to express my opinion. When I first found GR a long time ago it was by complete accident while searching for something else. The game itself at first did not seem great but it was fun so I kept it. I pretty much liked every...

Re: GeneRally 2 feature request list

I looked a little bit so far at GR2 site and frankly I'm a little worried. GR2 is a great idea but 2 things that bother me conceptually are: 1. Track compatibility, nice benefit of having a couple thousand tracks to start with but potentially huge drawback with bringing potential of GR2 down. If a G...

Re: Official GeneRally feature request list

Well, I really like some of what they have added over the years (very nice that those that helped to make those changes kept the game stable). The Armco Barriers are excellent though I did not much care for the road cones (not that they shouldn't exist just that I would have chosen other things). Th...

Re: [cpk][ser][for] I believe (ZF1-2014)

Dang, sorry guys,

Wrong file ended up in zip. Here is the correct file. Everything is the same except for car weights I mistakenly did not change back after a test. In case you do not wish to download again you could change it in editor yourself by just subtracting 100 kg from each cars weight.

Evolution

Of my Real world palette. My palette has changed a lot in these past couple years, and the new version of GR with quick changing palette capability inspired me to work it into something much more complete. Another great thing is the ability to give this palette a better name. I decided to call it Vi...

[cpk] [ser] [for] I believe (ZF1-2014)

That these are the best cars I have ever made for Generally. As usual they are fast, hitting 190 Mph scale on Strava's top speed test track with some sliding occurring so I think they are able to hit 200 mph if you can find a long enough straightaway. With the increased weight and lowered power they...

Re: [cir] [tpk] ZaishenCircuit

Thanks for the comments guys.PSP sure makes making tracks easier:).Layering the hmap to get the effects I was looking for is invaluable. @Trigger, The settings I used for it are veiw angle 40,rotation 90,zoom 40, though I think you may wish to back the zoom a bit for playing to help with seeing the ...

[cir] [tpk] ZaishenCircuit

I have the normal version and a reverse direction version in the ZIP.Wasn't sure if it qualifies as track pack but there is more than one track so maybe.I had fun making this though it didn't turn out perfectly. It was meant to be a simple typical "Generally" track. The road is wider than I ...

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

Ok,I have been making a track and noticing some little things that weren't quite right. So I have made slight adjustments to armco barrier/windows ..... softwall......and yellow paint. This is as much a final version as can be.

Hope you enjoy it!

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

The crowd in the stands is pretty strange.I have never seen that.I cannot be sure of the car since that really has to do with which color number was used.I am guessing since colors used in the cars are also used in the crowd that the car is the main culprit.I try to keep all my color values on cars ...

Re: Making sounds for GR v1.10

I had some old sounds for my open wheel at 36k and they didn't work at all.I tried going to 22.5 and 44.1 and 44.1 is the way to go.It has something to do with how Generally and the Win 7 version of direct x don't get along (it seems they get converted to 44.1 k in processing anyway). What I did is r...

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

OK,I think I have it now.Made alot of small adjustments and a few big ones.I darkened and desaturated the mud and dirt.Made nice changes to the wood color.Adjusted the grass colors a little to brighten them abit (added color to the shadow).Changed all of the water colors to better hues and tweaked l...

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

Yeah, the following couple a days I noticed that too Alex.I have been working on the paint, trying to get it closer to road paint.Finding the paint tricky yet.I want to make sure it fits.I also found I could and should greatly improve the mud, dirt, and water.Needless to say I will be posting a third v...

New Palette! ZRWv2

Hello all, I think I fixed up my palette really well.I made adjustments to alot of things, most noticibly:clouds, yellow paint,"shadows","wood"(fence, pier, and tree trunk all lightened which looks better to me),and armco barrier/glass/pedestrian bridge(It was hard to get the balance...

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

sorry bout the double post.I went back to look at the armco barriers and yeah they were too bright.Went back to adjust them and the "glass" color changed so I readjusted building colors.Of course since other stuff didnt look right with the new building colors..................................

Re: Official Generally feature request list

As far as the subject above I like the new objects, the new building sizes will help a great deal, armco barrier and cones are awesome. The only thing that bothers me is invisible wall.I know alot of people like using track art but in most cases it is just that......art.I can only recall a few tracks w...

Re: Zaekyr's Real World palette

I totally understand you and kinda figured some might find it too dark.My eyes are quite light sensitive and I rarely go out without some "shades" on.I know the real world is a bit brighter than this palette but also less flourescent then GR's default palette. It's that brightness that can ...

Zaekyr's Real World palette

Zaekyr's Real World Palette (though it could be called.....?nonflorescent?) I created this palette because Generally's default palette was rather hard on the eyes for me(i.e. too bright).Everything except road, snow, ice colors, and some "utility" colors (fuel/damage/ect) have been changed.Th...

[cpk] [for] Zaekyr's F1

Well, here it is,didnt take long as I used my "open wheel" model to start. These are still just as fast reaching speeds close to 200 mph.One particular difference is that I kept the performance numbers closer to further simulate the differences between indycars and F1.These are lighter, with ...

Re: [cpk] [for] Zaekyr's open wheel (ZOW)

Sorry about that, but over the years I have opted for faster versions of cars which require an appropriate AI line and an hmap that is not too extreme.I sort my tracks according to what they can support and sometimes redraw the AI lines where necessary.
