Re: Mini Track Remix
Here's a new layout. WS 90, pretty wide, but plenty of sharp turns to keep you busy. And a bit of a 'scenery challenge': a large, empty corner. Try to do something special with it so it won't feel inferior to the other corners.

Re: GeneRally 2 - Kickstarter Launched
Masa, you could use PayPal to send these 12€ to someone you trust who has a credit card so he can get the copy for you and back up the project. Would that work? As far as I know PayPal doesn´t need a card as it can be used with a bank account. Thats true, but not for all the countries as far as I k...

Thanks for your explanation James !
I'm really looking forward to this, so I'll be sure to follow things a little more closely than I have been.

Re: GeneRally 2 - Pre-Alpha Demo Released
Oh wow, I'm super late. I need to check this place more often than once every 3 months. First of all, I'm really enthusiastic about the demo. I love the smoke and the day and night cycle, and the way the objects behave. There are a few things that I don't like, though, and I suppose now is the best ...

I like them a lot, aesthetically (especially Twister, Long Straight and Mickey). They're a little too large for me to drive on, though. But that's entirely personal

Awesome concept! Difficult to drive but (like I just said in a response to a different track) I thought I'd seen it all
Shame my zoom doesn't work (no idea why), so I unfortunately can't really experience it like it was intended.

I like everything on this track. I love the 'cartoon-like' atmosphere, and it's impressive how you've combined so many landscape elements in such a logical, coherent way. Everything seems to contribute to the atmosphere, and nothing looks out of place. In terms of driving, it feels like every single...

I still think we should give dirt a try. Maybe a rally super stage? Though that may be hard to plan

Re: Thumbs up ("liking" posts without replying)
Totally agree with you (like I already said in my first post). I don't like the mod I posted either; I only care for the 'thank you' option (or something similar). I've seen that, too, on many forums, without any of the spectacle that the mod I linked to adds. I only posted that link for clarificati...

Re: Thumbs up ("liking" posts without replying)
As long as we're somehow a discussion forum and want to keep value of the discussion on a relevant level, I think, we should rather try encourage people to think and then express their thoughts by written words than offer such a trivialisating shortcut for every single occasion (and that's also maj...

Re: Thumbs up ("liking" posts without replying)
I get your point, but I don't think the fact that people don't use the star ratings very often is not a reason the feature I suggested might not be worth implementing. I, for one, don't use the star ratings, because you'd have to take into consideration how it relates to all other mods in its genre....

Thumbs up ("liking" posts without replying)
Lots of forums have a "thank you" option nowadays, which is similar to the "like" button on Facebook. I think it would be good to have such an option on this forum for the following reasons: 1) Somebody who has downloaded an add-on, appreciates it, but has nothing to say beyond &...

Re: GeneRally - What is it to you?
Well put, Qurpiz. I first discovered the game when a team mate from an online Grand Prix 3 sent me the game over MSN. At first I wasn't too impressed with the tracks it came with, so I stopped playing after only a few minutes. Then I saw an icon labeled "Track Editor" in the main folder wh...
