Re: GeneRally multiplayer is (kinda) possible!
assuming you have a solid internet connection and don't live on the other side of the world from anyone else. UPDATE: This isn't even a big issue! I've played another game over Parsec, a shooter that requires good aim and thus low latency, with a Russian player, and it worked perfectly. Provided yo...

GeneRally multiplayer is (kinda) possible!
https://parsecgaming.com/ Parsec connects two devices to let you play your PC games from anywhere on any device. I haven't used it myself yet, but given how unlikely proper multiplayer implementation is, Parsec seems like an ideal solution assuming you have a solid internet connection and don't live...

Haven't played it yet, but I'm in the same boat as Cheeseburger. I kinda like how you dodged the dithering work here, reminds me of slot car track in a way. I also particularly dig those sandtraps, how they're somewhat messily thrown into piles along the track rather than starting right when the asp...

Well, that sucked.. venting as calmly as I can: First off, that first chicane is absolute hell all on its own. Seriously, we're expected to clear that at any reasonable speed, repetitively? In practice I constantly went straight through both haybales, and in the race I constantly slammed into the se...

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 [Race] [Login]
Don't ask how I managed 43 laps (counting the extra 2) (I think even 45 if you count the missed?) after the worst first half in racing history (I think I pit 3 times in a row), my guess is as good as yours. It was so bad that by lap 20, I was still on the same lap as the AI was. And yet, the warm-up...

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 [Race] [Login]
Since I got 2 penalties, I'm wondering something: Do penalties "decay" over time? IE, I run clean at Buenos Aires, do I lose a penalty, or keep it? Or do they stay until the punishments are dished out? And if so, how do they work? For example, I get 5 penalties, and the next race I run cle...

Catastrophic race. 2-3 crashes with damage, multiple errors aswell, and lost 1 lap due to not checking checkpoints aswell as cutting very many times the same chicane with probably many seconds cutting-penalties. I hope just to not be last. :( You'll have to try to lose this one, trust me. My own ra...

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 [Race] [Login]
Well, I made a big mess. I completed a 27-lap race normally, but when I went to save I somehow forgot to take a screenshot. I don't know why, but I just did. This led to me knowingly breaking the biggest rule - giving myself a second chance at the race to get the screenshot I needed. Sorry, I'm just...

Well, uh.. shot0002.png I mean, it's not like everyone else will be running sub-20-second laps when their tires are giving out, right? Riight?... But really, I'm getting better at these hotlaps once I disable tire wear, fuel consumption and damage, and leave on the 100kg fuel weight. Maybe I'll even...

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 [Race] [Login]
I had also another idea: Am Drivers Standings would base only on results from 6h races. It doesn't mean that Amateurs cannot start in Sebring or Le Mans. All races would be counted in overall Drivers Classification, but for Am Drivers Standings only results from 6h races would be counted. Amateurs ...

Working Title: Argolab
Decided to start making a track a day or 2 ago. I felt I hadn't posted in forever, and I may as well do something about that. Starting out by forming the layout with hay bales, mostly since they provide real punishment for me steering too far off and making cuts, while making sure testing doesn't en...

Fangirling about cars below The sheer variety of cars makes me happy. For being based off of the WEC, an event with a common formula that rarely gets innovation, I thought that most every car would look roughly the same, minus some things on the front end: a mid-engined, mid-cockpit car with flat si...

While the R variant is definitely reminiscent of Group C, the F really doesn't make me think that much at all, mainly due to the cockpit placement. Looks more like Nissan's LMP from 2015. http://www.autoguide.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/Nissan-GT-R-LM-Nismo.jpg https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker...

I can't help but notice everyone so far has built cars that are tuned towards downforce over sheer power, minus Gzehoo's PN4 which is simply balanced half-and-half.
When will someone enter a Nissan with 920 power?

Since noone else is replying.. Your description for it is spot-on, it looks pretty much like a spaceship, particularly reminiscent of some designs from WipEout; http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/wipeout/images/1/11/FEISAR_FX300.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20120220031555 I honestly would not mind being ...

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 - discussion t
I've got a question:
Who made all the tracks? (Definitely multiple people, but who and how many)
And also, what versions of Le Mans, Sebring, Nurburg and Pukehoke are we going to be using?

Re: GRChA International Endurance Series 2016 - discussion t
And to my knowledge, one car will be given to the entire team, not just one member. This prevents something like, for example, Maple Motorsports, with ex. 2 members, taking a Lynx LMP Mk.1 AND a Lambda PN4-H, and enforces some sort of uniformality among the team.

Final updates applied, lights have been downsized to fit within specifications. Car is totally race-ready, no more modifications necessary. In addition, the former model has been added, ingame name "Lynx LMP Mk.0" and filename "Lynx LMP Mk.1a" in case you want to delete it. The o...

Beat me to it, you two. I was just about to post an image showing that it's just a PN4 with the manufacturer's markings filed off and the back raised a bit.
I'm guessing not, but did he have permission to modify the PN4?

Re: [lmp] Lynx LMP Mk. 1
Right, good to know it's mostly legal. I hope the lights aren't enough to disqualify the car, I kind of prefer how they look this way - but, if I must, I'll size them down. Also, I do keep wondering why on earth the performance changes won't save. Fixed it now, reuploading with minor fixes. And than...

[lmp] Lynx LMP Mk. 1
An open-cockpit LMP built to the IES OP1 specifications , written by Gzehoo. Unusually for an American-built racing prototype, Lynx's design is tuned more for tackling corners rather than powering through straights, with downforce as strong as the rules allow. This does make a minor hit to accelerat...

Re: Polies disappearing, showing through etc at certain angl
Thank you, that solution works perfectly. I have no other problems.
Also, glad you like it. I'll have to release it some time soon, didn't take me too long and I too think that, as an open-top, it looks nice.

Polies disappearing, showing through etc at certain angles
Hello world; On my first car, unfortunately 2 polies on the front disappear when the car's front is pointed mostly towards the camera. Broken polies.png I believe I know the cause, but it'd force me to redo much of the car, something I don't feel like doing right now. For reference, here's the front...
