Re: Reservoir for old members

Hi folks , How about from 15-17 years ago :) . I have fond memories of my time here, hope you all are well. I'm working full time and finishing my doctorate in classical music performance (trumpet). I should be graduating this semester! About time, too, since I've been in university for almost...

Re: Apex Racing League: We're making a new top-down racing g

I think the game looks really good so far. You guys are doing a great job! I'm curious as to what visual changes you will make. My only suggestion for visual changes is to either move the painted lines on the tarmac (using GR terminology :D ) to the edge of the track or to move the kerbs in to where...

Re: Apex Racing League: We're making a new top-down racing g

With clean air I meant clear track space, but we could do something about this actually. I think dirty air would be difficult to model because it involves losing downforce and depends on the type of car, but slipstreaming can work. Needs balancing but if done right it could make battles really fun,...

Re: Apex Racing League: We're making a new top-down racing g

Regarding car count, I vote for a fixed number of cars. I like 12, but 10 is okay, too. I think the uniformity of (car) size across all tracks/games is a good thing. Although, since there are requests for the other viewpoint, is this something that could be changed further down the road? Just in cas...

Re: The football (soccer) thread *spoiler*

I was not really rooting for either team but after the penalty call I was really rooting for Croatia. Anywho, I think Brazil's passing in the 2nd half was poor, and hopefully for them they will be playing better by the time the knockout stage starts. And here's hoping USA can pull something off and ...

Re: GRIF 2014 World Cup Prediction Game

I like to watch soccer ( :shhh: ) football, but outside of following the USA national team I don't follow much. My brother keeps me up-to-date on news from the Premier League and Champions League action as he sees fit. So, in other words, I don't know much but I'm excited to watch as much of the wor...

Re: GeneRally 2 - Pre-Alpha Demo Released

Very nice. I love the graphics and I like the night cycle better than I thought I would. I have nothing important to add regarding bugs or physics that hasn't been mentioned already. My only suggestion, and this is not related to the demo itself, is to have the background color change with the color...

Re: [rwl] [cir] Sonoma Raceway

Off the top of my head this is the 4th Sonoma that I've driven on, and being a huge IndyCar fan, I wanted to test this out and give some comments. I like that you set the track during the beautiful part of the year (grass), it's much nicer to look at that way. Also, the width of the track is perfect...

Re: Demolished racing circuits

For me, the time I've spent researching the history of American motorsports, led me to a really sad find: Ontario Motor Speedway, located in Ontario, California. It was built similar to Indianapolis (only that it was slightly wider), and was known as the 'Indianapolis of the West.' The first race wa...

Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2012 [HL/Race] [Login]

With sincere apologies to TuomoH, I would like to step out of my McLaren seat. Looking at my school semester I believe I was over ambitious to jump in so quickly. I may or may not continue later as a privateer of some sorts (if that is possible), but I will decide that when the time comes. :) Best o...

I must say I really like puttz's idea. I don't have the collection that Ivo does, but I'm slowing trying to build it back up by browsing through the forums and downloading/sorting tracks out. I just came to a good idea today about what I'd like to do with track folders from now onwards, but track ta...

In general I think the best thing to do at this moment would be ... to give akouk a chance to race in the finals. Anyway, if it is decided to mend things up by giving me a chance to compete, then I’ll do it with the condition that it will be a 3 driver final. 3 driver final sounds good to me. :cool...
