He was last time on forum at 25th February 2014.
Oh, that's a pity. Hope he returns, though. Although it's been a long time since his last visit on the forum. :vsad:

I've toyed with a couple of ideas for a hotlap series, maybe I'll have to unretire from organizing again to run one. Hotlaps are the easiest to run anyway because there is software available to make it easy to score.

About IES 2016:

Another season will start in September 2016 (at the end of August there will be Laguna Seca 4h as Pre-Season Test).
In the June, after GTT season, I'll open a discusion thread with a poll for 4 options about class which we'll use in upcoming season - because this time there will be only one class for cars.
There will be also voting for tracks for 6h races.

But I was wondering about making two subcategories: Pro and Am.

It would be decided again with "licenses", like it was with LMP1+GT3 in 2014 and LMP1+OP1 in 2015.

But this time the difference is that every driver (Pro and Am) will get the same car and even if both will be under one team, first driver would participate as Pro and the second one as Am if he's not permitted to start as Pro. But Pro drivers would have also possibility to start as Am. Also, one team would be with two Pro drivers. But subcategories would be only for drivers, cars are the same for every driver.

Hey I have a competition idea. I was thinking of something like early '70s formula 1 championship.
Would anyone be interested in that?

Thanks :)

I'm thinking 10-15 RWL circuits from late '60s and early '70s.

One big problem is that I don't have a website, so still not sure how it's going to be. :hide:

6-8 will be better, you'll be able to make a better selection of tracks (I don't think there are many historic ones of high quality) and you'll get more interesting and consistent competition.

Well it's still very early, but maybe up to 8 track would be perfect. But first things first, I'll probably need to learn more about creating websites :D .
PS: I found many good quality historic tracks :)

I may be interested. I tried to do a couple management competitions before, both fell apart. One because I didn't have enough time to do it, and the other because people lost interest.

I'm potentially interested, but it will depend on its mechanics. Do you have some specific concept for these now?

Yes, the mechanics have to be good for it to have a chance to be successful. I think I may have erred on the side of too much complexity when I ran my management compos, so you have to find that balance between enough mechanics to make it interesting but not too much to make it too complex.
