Got a nice set of landmarks here.

This one is the Kinkaku-Ji temple in Kyoto. (Kinkaku-ji means Temple of the Golden Pavilion.) ;)

I am aware that the main point of this topic is to show your desktop, not your wallpaper, but like Ivo, I will only reveal the latter one. :P
My current wallpaper is a painting by Ilya Repin, called Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks.

@Ivo: Those aircrafts must be Aero L-159 Alcas, right?

This is something, you have to be aware of when you get a netbook with Windows 7 Starter. You can't change your desktop normally. But there exists a programm, which can change the desktop background. Unfortuneatly that consumes some work space, and the user has to ask himself, if it's really necessary to change the desktop.

i dont use this start up screen, i use deskop mode all the time ;)

Mine is mostly shortcuts to desktop apps, though. Don't really care about all the other Metro apps.

This is my desktop on my new notebook :). I took the photo for one of my architecture classes, this is a block of flats designed by one of the best czech architects Karel Hubáček and Jaromír Vacek.
