You probably didn't put the files on the C Drive. If you put it in My documents or Program Files etc. it won't work. Read the readme.

You need to launch the web service before going on GTGR.

Sorry guys for getting up this topic again, but I get the same error and I'm 1000% sure it's on the C:\ thing.
What do I do to solve it?

is the folder read-only? Override.ini has to do with Prism, and to be honest, I have no clue.

There are 2: MySQL and MoWEs. If those are both running, then it isn't your firewall.

how do I know if MoWEs is running, it doesn't say :S

/EDIT

oh the MoWEs is the web service, well it's on and it says both of the two others are on, but it still can't read override.ini :S

/EDIT nr 2

I dunno if it's that important, but it doesn't say can't read, it says couldn't read
does that matter? xD

override.ini has in fact nothing to do with both MySQL and Mowes, override.ini is part of Prims (the program allowing a website to run as an application) but I have no idea why that is giving any errors as it is not supposed to be and I can't reproduce the error :/

I'm a GranTurismo Generally newbie, yesterday night I tried to install the software but ended with the dreaded "Can't read override.ini" error message.
Deleting the directory created by uncompressing the GTGR2.rar and starting the installation a 2nd time fixed the problem.
Why it worked the 2nd time, I don't know.
I hope my post can avoid some frustrations to other newbies.
I would like to say abig thank you to all the software designers and contributors to the addictive Generally and GTGR.
