[cir] Mexico WT

Post by Bouncebackability »

Hi,

With my internet finally back, i present a small track i made whilst away. The idea was simply to make another updated World Tour Track that doesnt currently exist, and this is my Mexico interpretation. I hope you enjoy.

Comments welcome as ever!

Cheers, BBA!

Edit: Oval version added

I enjoyed the track, especially the S-bends and the last corner(I love banked corners), it really retains the felling of the standard tracks

I miss some deserts and cactus in Mexico, however, that's more like Belize to me hehe

The only tip I may give you, is the mexico on the S/F line, maybe it would look better with another pixel of difference in the M, on my screen, it reads Aexico

Cheers mate

I was thinking of starting an 'Alternative World Tour' project a few months ago.

Something like this was exactly what I had in mind. fantastic job
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

thanks for these comments!

yeah, i cant believe i didnt include any cacti, i just went by what i see with the mexico city circuit really. and yeah it does read aexico lol!

ive always wanted to make a UK, but an airfield is so obvious, ive made a few before, but theyve lack a generallyesque feel to them.

any other comments?

Awesome job BBA :bg: I can say that this is what I've been looking for - small real circuits with style (Prejon-Dinois, Bro's Hatch, Scherslb, Salzburger and Little Melbourne). Only thing that doesn't fit is, for me, that sandy road. But that's minor thing compared to layout, landscape with nice details and lmap :D. Wish you made more of these :yummy:

Yep, I see what you mean Dan, I tried to do the same as I did on Salta, as I liked the sand roads on that one. But the smaller WS here meant it was less effective...

Maybe because it's looking wider?

Anyway, I agree with Dan about the GR-stylised rwls. It was pity, that those two stopped, really enjoy this one (and Otto Wilson's Glenn, which is bit more real than the others but shares the idea with them too). :bg:

BTW the small egg-shapped oval with flat and banked turns wouldn't be boring if added. :hiya:

I think there´s not too much to say about the track other than it´s perfect.
Those are the kind of tracks Generally is made for. Simplicity and driving pleasure ;)

How do you guys get the Marlboro bridge? I'd love to add them to some of my courses.

So simple in design, yet excelent in its excecution. That chicane makes hotlapping here a challenge.
