Joint Effort Track Project

Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

Montslater , referring to the time this one has taken, the first square was made in May :?
BTW, the name thought originaly is Fivemontslater, but it exceeded the 12char limit

I don't have a name suggestion, but I would like to ask to make something with a strange crossing in the bottom of the track. I know Ivo is a good trackmaker and FT'er, but still I want to point his attention - how come three-line highway ends up in regular street.

Certainly, it caught my attention too. There 6 stripe highway comes from nothing suddenly - no crossing, which would divide all the accommodated traffic into surroundings or cumulating some minor traffic branches into one major city arterial road. Just a vertical cut by a minor road (I think it could be also 6 stripe road from bottom to top) and some obscure crossroad. I like much more like guys in top half collaborated on creating something with sense. But we shall see, how to solve it I'd like to be as gentle as possible. :-)

How are you getting on Ivo?

Only one name so far, any others?

I spent some time by tweaking walls (mainly in Herbal's square and the central wall of highways) and then was trying to understand what precisely to do with the issue mentioned by Buka. I think I got an idea and it's about 50% done, I'd need about 3-4 days, can be? :-)

It's been quiet for half a month now, so would be nice to know what's going on here. Have you finished it, Ivo? :)

Btw, I think the name Otto suggested is kind of nice.

The problem is, that the trk with almost finished FTs is trapped on machine, which was infected by a resistant virus and I had no backup version elsewhere. I had to put it on clean-up to service and it should have been already back more than week and half ago, but it still isn't.  That's also why I'm now bit less often available here lately.
I've wrote about it to BBA while ago, so he had been in frame. I'm sorry for that delay. :hang:

Edit: files are safe, sent to BBA with a question (about road markings).

Doublepost, since Thursday, when I got back the thing, I was working on last details, here is the file. Thanks to BBA for advices. I hope it's OK, especially the bottom-right  , AI line tested 80-105 with formula.

Once more I'm sorry for the almost endless waiting. :ashamed:

BTW name, the layout reminds me a tail-docked dog (head bottom-right, tail top-right).

Joint Effort #75

Top Left ----- Otto Wilson
Top Middle ----- emil patanen
Top Right ----- ExiooPL

Middle Left ----- Glen
Middle Middle ----- XYY
Middle Right ----- sartalas

Bottom Left ----- cocney
Bottom Middle ----- nielske
Bottom Right ----- martyn

Final Touches ----- bouncebackability

Once again il remind people of the below...
9.1) If you book a square in JointEffort, you thereby agree to make your square in time, (means that you don't hold it up for ages) but use time and effort with it to make it as good as possible.
**Updated Rule**
9.2)If it is your turn to make a square, and you have not posted it within 7 days, your square will be given to someone else and you will not be allowed to participate in the next JE project.
i try to be pretty easy about it. but if you dont make your square within 7 days, i will have to let the square become available immediately. If you do need a couple of extra days to finish, make sure you clearly say so or PM me before hand!

If you know you will have to pull out, let me know asap, even if its not near your square!

Any suggestions of theme? the last 5 were [roa], [cir], [ral] [cir] and [stc]

I'm looking to see this project finished no later than the 3rd February*

And if you are new to trackmaking and want to take part in a Joint Effort, be sure to check out the Joint Effort Amateur, which is always looking for more people!

-----------------------------

As a result of the last project taking so long, where we had a long period with no one willing to make a square. Signups are open for this event, but it won't be started until we have all the spaces filled. We will also no longer be having 'reserves', I have added estimated finishing targets for the last two JE's so if you cannot be sure you can make your square in that time, do not sign up, or if you are perhaps away for a week or so, then be more willing to take a square earlier in the project, perhaps even starting it!

Also I will be enforcing stronger other rules already outlined, such as those mentioned above so I strongly recommend you re-read the rules on the first page!

I see little other options, perhaps some more feedback/ideas in this thread however will be welcome.

*I will give some leniency to these deadlines however, over the Christmas to new year period, should we start before then.

I'd like to suggest a fullscreen track (with 16:9 and 16:10 support , doesn't have to be fullscreen there).

Bottom right please
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!
