I'm only making middle middle square, so I guess that NicolasP can then make middle left square. :)
YoNnie wrote:Or.. After releasing this track, stop it for some time. For what make it thinking "we have to start next edition fast"? Wouldn't be better to wait to have some guys who really have time to do it and some people in the reserves?
Generally I don't like this thinking like: guys look, Joint Effort always was making fast, there was many people to make them, now it MUST be done fast, even we haven't noone to make it and all.
I think that we should try to keep this going on. Joint Effort is important for somebody, who doesn't have time or inspiration or will to make a full track alone, but might like to make a square. And someone, who participates in JE, might get new ideas and inspiration whilst making his square, and then he will be making more new tracks. I at least have many times got into good track making mood, when making a JE square. So, JE plays important role in keeping the track making activity up, thus we shouldn't take a break on making JEs IMO. :) Also, I believe that no matter how long we wait before starting a new track, we will still be struggling to get a full line-up for 9 squares as long as we are in the GR1 era.

And these tracks don't have to be finished fast, but this kind of way using over half year to make one track just is too slow. When the tracks start to take this much time, then we are in the situation that some of those, who signed in might not be able to take part in the later stages anymore, because when they signed in they thought that they have time for the project in the next month or two, but they don't have anymore time after 6 months and they didn't assume that the project would last so long.

I think that the best option at the moment would be reducing the number of squares. :)
Bouncebackability wrote:  I suggest these things everytime we have a delay like this, then everyone complains about my proposals...
Well, not everyone has complained about these things. :) I at least have had quite neutral opinion earlier and thus haven't said anything relating these things. But the situation has never been this bad, so it starts to cause worries also on the other people's minds. You need to decide something, BBA, try something different, even if the general opinion was against what you think as the best option. We can't continue in the same way anymore.

Edit: is Herbal still up for FTs? Thought it would good to remind him that now half a year after signing in it might finally be his turn... Let's hope he hasn't become old and rusty while waiting his turn :greybeard:

Of course people don't have enough throughout December, January, June and July form most of us are still students. On Friday I finished all my exams and now I am free for 3 weeks. JE should be done in 4 months not half a year. And we should try to finish one before December and one before June when people have the busiest schedule.

I will finally be able to finish my track that I am doing for almost a year. :D

I'm again very sorry for how this goes at the moment, and it's probably really the best if I take a break from JE tracks for a while... :ouch:

No worries, if everything will go as I wish, I will be able to have the FTs once the track will be finished.

Okay, I've got my square ready. It seemed that most of the corners in the track were quite fast, so I thought it would be a good idea to bring some change to that by creating a chicane. I added there an option to have a chicaneless version. I tried to add some empty area to the track in my square. I also finished the bottom part of Wojtek's square, which he left unfinished. I hope you'll like what I did. :)

Wiesenfeld sounds reasonable for me, too.

BTW just finished the FTs, didn't need to change much. I've modified the following bits:
  • Road lines are now unified
  • At track tarmac changes have been reworked before Karussel-like curve
  • Slightly altered pit exit
  • Additional safety elements for better racing experience in first hairpin
  • Old oval circuit's third curve has a bit more flow
  • Stands have been added to main straight (who was the architect, who left that out? :bomb: )
The pack contains three versions, the long one with and without chicane, and the short version. Could be possible to have at least two more versions, but I would have needed more altering for historic tracks, so I've skipped them.

So, what do you think?

Could be, but so comes out the perspective better. With the current POV and the road's direction, there's no need to have shadow there.

In good time, there is no point in even trying right now as the trackmaking community is a bit quiet over the last two months.

Then I'm super busy throughout March, so expect to hear something near the start of April, and we can see how viable it looks :shhh:
