[for] Astor Formula 3000 (F3000) (+ maybe liveries)

Astor Formula 3000

It's been almost 3 months since I last uploaded a car... Well, this one is sure made with great inspiration and enthusiasm! :revs: :ugeek:

A brief piece of history:
Formula 3000 (F3000) was the final step before Formula 1 from 1984 to 2004. In 1984, F3000 replaced Formula 2
and was created with cost reductions in mind, as Formula 2 was dominated by high-budget works teams.
As the name states, the cars used a 3,000cc V8 Engine, with a rev-limiter installed to control the power output.
Cosworth engines were the most popular, although any max. 3,000cc, 90° V8 engine with a rev-limiter was allowed.
At the end, the cars generated about 470-490 bhp, weighing 530-550 kg and had a top speed of approx. 290 km/h.
In 2005, the European/International F3000 was replaced by GP2.
I got my main inspiration from the early 1990s cars, especially the Reynard 90D F3000.
My goal was to create thrilling, intense high-speed racing while not as extreme as Formula 1.
(the AI can be very fast, so beware! :D)

For now I don't include any liveries, but might add some in the future.
Requests definitely accepted, though I prefer making single liveries over packs. (e.g. F1 seasons) :)

Then some performance figures, for the Generally car in-game:

Code: Select all

Astor F3000:

Top speed: 249 km/h	(at MiltonDuPont's Daytona oval)
0-100 km/h:	0,74 sec	(at my 'Speed test' track)
0-200 km/h:	2,72 sec	(at my 'Speed test' track)
I hope you enjoy this car, and most importantly, racing! :cflag: :cflag:

Yeah, your front wing rocks once more! :bg: But I actually like it more than the current GP2. :D

BTW are some new pieces going to arrive into this one? :yummy:

Thanks again, Ivo :goodvibes:

Hmm, I think I should update physics for quite a bunch of my cars... that would probably include those cars in that thread,
plus the CART '95 needs a physics update. Then the cars would be pretty much compatible with each other :misch:
