Now you could reserve GeneRally & World Tour tracks that you would like to update for 2010.
You can choose more than 1 tracks, and each track can be selected more than once. Of course there would be limits on each tracks, to ensure balance

Admin is not God. I cannot be active in every point we do and responsible for everything - it must be divided into more persons in community. As AleksiNir told, he can be leader of this project - here will try to get permissions and organize, how this project would run. I trust, that he as good trackmaker and experienced person, who is long in community, is the right guy. Wait for his opinions. BTW I recommended him to negotiate with James and Rich, who proclaimed themselves to be Räbinäs' successors instead of them.

I've just contacted the authorities and asked for permission, and I will soon start writing some rules. After everything is ready, I'll start a new thread. This shouldn't take long, if I get the permission the thread should be here by tomorrow

Anyway, nothing prevents you from starting with the tracks already! So I think we're updating both original and world tour. This means we'll need many participants

I think reserving tracks etc is quite stupid because some would possibly want to make other track or not make at all etc.. Does it hurt to have many versions of one track?

Yes but we need to prevent to have in final e.g. 7 versions of Mondega and no version of Agari.

So we need to find balanced solution between these two possibilities (booking and free choice).

I think we should set limits on each track (e.g. Mondega can only be used by 4 trackmakers, and so on).

That's what Ivo suggested earlier, but with max 3 trackmakers for each track. IMO that is better than 4, would help the project to be finished quicker

Not really, but I'd prefer if you wouldn't start booking until the thread has been started, to avoid possible confusion

You can start trackmaking anyway and book it quickly when the thread is started
