Exporting LMaps from Photoshop

Post by utopist »

Hi guys, I’m trying to design the landscape and the track in Photoshop.

I have—
- Colour space set to Adobe RGB 1998
- Map is 512 x 512, 85.875 dpi
- Before exporting I convert to indexed colour, flatten the layers
- Save as with 4-bit and 16 colours BMP

When I import this in the track editor, the grass and the tarmac is flipped, I don’t see the white borders. What I am doing wrong? :tired:

Hi utopist ! :)

It happens when you convert your track in RGB colors and after change it to the GR Palette. I give you here a part of an answer I gave to a member few years ago :

"When you've finished, you have to convert it again into Indexed colors, that said GR palette colors. Go into "Image" or "Picture", "Mode", then choose "Indexed colors". A window will appear. Choose "Use a personalized palette" and choose the GR palette you duplicated before. Warning ! You must untick the box "Remove all unused colors", as it will mess badly the palette, and when you'll want to export it into TE... Colors will be inverted it will be terrible."

It was for Gimp, but I think it's similar in Photoshop.

Hope it helps ! :bsmile:
