Will be clearer here than on the GR Database topic.
Ok, like explained I'm working on a GR Best Of folder with all the best content from GR, with the possibility to customize it to your content.
Link for GR Best Of Folder :
. Go to my topic GR Database, first post, and click on the link there.
. You'll land on the GR Wiki. Again there's a link to the GR Database, click on it.
. You'll land on the GR Database. There is a text file there named "GR Best Of Folder Link".
. Inside this text file you'll find the link.
. Download and enjoy !
Only the Track database is not included as it would take too much space.
But there's the complete Cars database, all palettes, sounds, fonts, languages from the GR Database, to customize your GR folder or add content.
There's also a Tools folder where you can retrieve all the tools to work on track, cars, palettes, etc and some already installed in the Workshop folder.
It's not a definitive edition there, all GR are set in french language, but when it will be finish (I can't tell when and if I'll keep going) I will set it properly in english.
So what's inside the core of this GR Best Of folder ?
For the moment, I created the following folders :
[GeneRally World Tour]
[GT Legends]
Abstract
Autocross
BmxSim
Boat
Car Show Room
Challenge
Dakar
Demolition Derby
Drag - First Run
Endurance
F1
Fictional circuits - Chibi (circuits, rw circuits in smaller size, road and street)
F-Zero
GT
Gymkhana
Hardcore
Hillback Trial
Horse
Hot Pursuit
Hovercraft
Kart
Lawn Mower
Moto - Sidecar
Motocross - Monster Truck
Oval
Oval - Dirt - Snow
Party Games (Football, Bumper Cars, Arena, Cargo Work, etc)
Rally
Rally - Stages
Rallycross
RC
Sega Rally Championship
Ski - SnowB - SkateB
Space
Stunt
Tank
Touge
Track Bike
Training - Test
Truck
It may change with time, with more refined sorting, but it's pretty complete at the moment.
Lot of folders are near finished though. It's pretty much playable at this state, good races !
I will update here if there's something new from me.

Re: GR Best Of folder
It's amazing work you're doing!
I must congratulate you for the dedication you put into it...
I am a big fan of GR and although I have little time in this forum, I really enjoy all the material and ideas from everyone in the community.
I only have one question: how can I get exactly the link you are talking about?
I would like to get it but I'm not sure how... maybe my English is not very good

do not fear the one who never falls... be afraid of the one who always rises
Re: GR Best Of folder
Thank you Mijaell !
Well for the link I can't give the direct link because forum rules forbid me to share modified content or unmodified content as well without asking first the original authors. And well there's so many left and so many concerned...
So I must give an indirect link to it. But I will make it clearer for everyone in the first post.
You have to go to my topic GR Database, then click on the link in the first post. You'll land on the GR Wiki, with a link to the GR Database. Click on the link there.
You'll land on the GR Database. Open the text file "GR Best Of folder Link" where you can retrieve the link and download the pack.
Hope you'll enjoy GR again with this GR Best Of folder !

Re: GR Best Of folder
New update :
I mostly finished everything regarding F1, F2 and F3 folders, though I'm working on having all formulas/open wheeler categories with what we have in GR so I must think about how I have to organize all of that. That's why there's some car files here and there and some car files inside quite empty folders. It's in the working, shoo ! Don't look !
So far in F1-F2-F3, what was done was :
. Gathering every year possible and available in highest quality in carpacks from 1935 to 2022, without gaps from the 90s and beyond. Tweaking physics of each car by using Lorenzo's system and using real values each time I could, as data were missing, though I replaced them by plausible ones.
. Gathering every track of highest quality possible and available for each decade or year, modifying some to reflect its state in its current years the best I could. Some tracks were missing, especially old ones, but you have still the majority of tracks available.
. Setting parameters from the real points system, and setting kms in a way that reflect F1-F2 races in a reasonable playing time, while F3 is set up with time as its real world counterpart.
What's missing :
. Drivers for each year. (Will not do it to be frank, up to you to create your own)
. Rain tracks (see paragraph below)
. Maybe some adjustements to resize some cars right in some packs.
. And maybe some other little things but which I'm not aware of.
. Different tire coumpound, but honestly if you don't play multiplayer I don't see the interest. Plus you have to change the tire wear in the parameters each time you change tires. Little bit restrictive.
. Like I said some car packs and some tracks, but you mostly have everything.
The only thing I may do is to recreate all F1 tracks in their rain variant, as all cars are prepared for them, so you only have to select a different track but the same car. You may test one in the folder F1 1980s/Jerez R/Palette Fake GR2 - Rain SP. I may create a Rain folder to differenciate them. Don't know if I'll do all tracks as it will be pretty long I guess. I even tried to incorporate the sound of rain and thunder in the sounds folder, but I can't include it like that. Got a nice one in the Tools folder to put in in vlc in background and on a loop. Better than nothing, and it gives a real atmosphere when you drive. Only thing missing now is the little droplets of water pouring on the track.
I reupdated the physics for autocross buggies, for trucks too, though I may revisit them again, and some little things that don't have a huge impact on the folder.
Next I want to take a greater look to Moto GP as it have as much information than in F1, about every season and specs for each moto, even with lot of old tracks missing it may end in something great and big.
But I don't have lot of moto models, will do with what I got...
And gather more informations about those other formula/open wheeler series and make great folders from them.
Enjoy your F3-F2-F1 career, become a legend !

Re: GR Best Of folder
Update
More work on the F3 folder and F4 folder nearly finished. I didn't set up everything like all the series for points etc but it's playable at least.
There's still so much to do... But can't tell if I'll go until the end of it.
Time to take a break.

Re: GR Best Of folder
Update
. Updated Cars DB folder by removing some creations that were really badly made. Trust me on this.
. Updated physics of many vehicules.
. Added 2023 F1 car pack which was missing.
. Reorganized and updated physics of karting to reflect the real categories and physics.
. Updated trucks' physics.
. Created GT and Touring Car folders to add more categories inside each of those. Already began with Super GT 500 for GT folder and DTM for Touring car, which was in this category and not in GT until 2020. Began to work on the WTCC folder but due to different vehicules and specs it will be quite long.
. Created a Rain SP Historic palette for those historic track with rain. Pirita track from the 1930s was converted to rain. Thinking about historical endurance races, I may create historical versions of all time palette, like Night, Evening, Morning.
. Settings in some folders were updated.
. Adding Fictional - Chibi folder to each main categories like Formula, GT, Touring cars, Moto, Trucks etc as I want to include those fictional tracks in corresponding folders but still separated from real world tracks as possible. Will be added progressively to each folder. At the moment, only the Forumla folder got it and I need to finish tweaking the physics of all chibi vehicules.
. Don't know if I specified it before, but sorted the Offroad and Rally folders, with main category folder and secondary/specialized folders within each.
So little by little it's taking shape, in a good way.
