Sudden difference in perspective...

Post by Txizzle »

Hello,

feels odd to have this problem, given i've run the game faultless for years now....but suddenly half of the tracks are no longer in visual range when driving them. (see pic).

Any idea why this might be? What setting to change? I've had it at current settings for years, changed them after this weird change to see if it makes a difference, but no. Having to skip half the races in my championships now. :vsad:

Mmh... One day Frukis had this bug linked with a resolution issue, playing at 21:9 the track was trunkated in the upper half, but not as much as yours. Are you playing on a really high resolution perhaps ?

Try to set GR at a different resolution, 16:9 for example.

Apparently that was the issue. I somehow reset it to the wrong resolution recently. Didn't expect it to be so simple. :)

Random message but I swear I saw an YT video once with GR being played in first person view, like an on board camera.
I think I even talked to someone about that, but I cant remember. Is there such thing somewhere?

I remember such a video. It was made using the first-person view in GRHMEdit that allows you to walk the track like a pedestrian. Movement, however, is limited in this mode: there is no acceleration to the camera, tilting the camera up or down is strictly at 45 degrees. Just don't expect anything close to a FPS experience.
