I really hope that the GRF1 will be a success.
I have to say that I am a bit jealous of the PGRF1 on planet-generally. :yummy:

Maybe such can't be realised. I don't know many about GR mechanics.

AI VS Championship.
Whithout login. You drive againts 5 AI's, and starting on last position (better if you start even from pits). Race about 5-15 KM.
All 5's AI level equal! You choose that level yourself. You need end race on 1st place. Who win highest AI level, winner of the event.

In the end results will be as that
Player1 - 135 AI
Player2 - 133 AI
Player3 - 120 AI
.....
Player*- 60 AI

I think damage should be about 50%
I like this idea and if everything goes well, I will try to organize something like that in few months.

Here's my adaptation of your idea:

-Competition without login
-Small races (~= 5km)
-Car: Formula
-You have to start from 6th place :boxing:
-You choose the level of the 5 AIs (AI level not necessarily all the same)
-When you succeed to finish 1st at what you think is your maximum level, you send the replay.

Classification will be based on the average level of the AIs you've beat. If some players are tied, they will be sorted out by race time.

Interesting? Any suggestions?

track size smaller - hills higher. for test I make some very small hill tracks, whith very small car.
Was only 2 problems
1 effects was very big, but it can be off in options.
2 objects become very big... I put only sunk tyres as walls.

There is a confusion. It's not hillclimbing.

It will be based on usual race track with several laps, you start 6th and you have to put the opposition you think you're strong enough to beat because you have to finish 1st.

It's IAclimbing if you want.

You race with for example 5 IAs with level 100.
If you win the race, then you put more difficulty (5 IAs with level 101 for instance) and try to win again.

When you think you've reach you're maximum level, you send the replay.

I was drafting up ideas for a competition and after watching the anime "Cyber Formula" I got idea of racing-championship with focus on finding the fastest driver on _everything_. The events would consist of standard circuit races, long and rough off-road rallies, and technical street/road races. To make things a bit more challenging, only a single car type is used for all the races, meaning that there isn't a specialized car model for each race type.

I need more time to flesh it out but I think the premise is a good idea.

If someone would be interested in running an Old Hatch Series-based competition, they can get in touch - I intend to release the cars sometime next week at the latest (probably this weekend)

Drag Racing: I may have a solution...

Post by Doorslammer »

OK, so for years we have wondered how on earth we can make a competition for GeneRally that involves our quarter mile monsters. I think I finally have the answer.

Ingredients
6 versions of each drag track with varying levels of tarmac, oil, dust etc.
1 drag car that is standard (Top Fuel, Top Alcohol, Top Doorslammer etc.)
1 "dice" program

Basically, each driver would roll the dice for each run made. So say we did 3 qualifying laps:

Dave Hunter rolls a 3, a 4 and a 2.

Basically, that driver must use the track version that was rolled in the dice. So I would use track versions 3, 4 and 2.

The number of the track is not necessarily in order of quality, that can also be randomised in terms of quality. So a higher number isn't always a good thing.

The reason to do that is this. Track quality is the only way (at the moment) to differentiate times on a track.

In elimination rounds, this is the scenario that could play out:

Driver A rolls a 5, Driver B rolls a 2.

Now depending on whatever track happens to be faster, that decides the winner. So it's an added element of mystery really. Almost some sort of weird online board game.

Thoughts?

would there be any objections to me bringing GRASCAR back? I don't know who organised it originally so I thought this would be the best place to ask.
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

I have a idea: What about a real-lap-lenght(305 km) races tournament? As example, 44 laps in Spa, 55 in Yas Marina, 61 in Marina Bay...

Only currently available contact is to Kory Miller, who was part of the last team, who was keeping it. But when latestly I tried to ask on it few moths ago, I never received any response. Maybe you'll have more luck. :bg:

constructors championship
1) Driver makes his car by himself. Model free.
2) For each stage new car ( for example for fast track make car whith good speed, and for slow whith more traction)
3) System not difficult. Example:

You have start settings:
Air resistance = 5
Downforce wings = 0
Power =50
Grip = 1

And you have 100 points.
1 point equal
-0,1 = Air resistance
+1 = Downforce wings
+5 = Power
+0,1 = Grip

end etc...In such way you set points as you want, for more speed, or more traction. some settings can be free, as Balance and Sliding.

Excuse me, didn't you make this championship about a year ago and didn't it fail because no one joined? :| I doubt it would work a second time.

No, because it wasn't drivers competition, it was AI champ. and system was more difficult. I made it because want to test some ideas, and I don't make login compo for players, because I don't know how to made websites (it's not funny).

I will not make champs, because I can't. But I want to take part, in such champ... I think its pretty interesting (and very difficult) to set car for more speed in each track. Results of champs will decide not only from driver level, because cars will be different.

I'd like it. Count me in.

And another idea: a 50 km(or something else) race on Enigma Full by Masa. Sould be funny to see good drivers lost on that hell... Only the training and the concentration will choose the winner.
