Joint Effort Tree - a slightly different Joint Effort

Gravel, tarmac, snow. Whatever the surface, you'll find it here.

I don't think it'd fit city tracks . Maybe just names of random cities (not big cities necessarily).

They could be, if they would be grammatically correct and have something in common.

What about naming the tracks after famous buildings (cause they are stc)??
for example "Empire State", "Superdome", "Bellagio", "Pantheon", "Highbury", ...

Good one :bg:. But we really have to choose names of buildings that sound fine :).

Yeah those would fit a stc circuit better than driver names. And BTW Dan egamad, you can expect my piece next week.

GRACE S1 - 25th out of 47 drivers and 14th out of 18 teams. Not bad for a first season eh?
GRC S18 - 15th out of 26 (7th out of 14 in junior standings)

I don't think we should pick names of something so related to actual cities or buildings, as the names could be misleading in a way. If I saw a track named lets say "Eiffel Tower" I'd expect something at least remotely similar to the actual object, not just a random stc. :?

Maybe something more simple, like with the first trackpack. Manzur's mentioning of the hummingbird made me think of curious bird species, like Cockatoo, Lourie, Grouse, etc. (btw I randomly took some interesting birds from here). The main similarity could be, that all of them nest in treetops for example. :2c:

Still better than Harry Potter....

And what about turning it on rear of the name? It can be .. AB Avenue, CD Road, EF Boulevard, GH Square, IJ Plaza etc (simply city elements, each piece other one). :)

So next time we should name it with worm names once that they're linked with birds? :D

@topic: I'll need an extra day.

Seems reasonable to me, Madd Dogg, if you find 8 of them and if there are no better ideas, we can go with that. :bsmile:

I understand, all the squares up to now are really masterpieces, and the project has been in progress way longer than anticipated. With another place opening up, this is our current situation:

stage1: egamad
stage2: Bouncebackability, Paw
stage3: preetzertrain, XYY, Madd Dogg, Martyn
stage4: Darjo, Alex, Dan Hakulín, nielske, OlafK, The MNZ, ?, ?

Reserves: I cleared the reserves list, as noone was answering anyway.

So, ANYONE, who would like to take one of the final squares, is more than welcome to do so. :bg:

How about naming it after birds that are used as sports team nicknames

for example:
Cardiff City Football Club - Bluebird
Norwich City Football Club - Canary
Swindon Town football Club - Robin
Swansea City Football Club - Swan
Sheffiled Wednesday Football Club - Owl
Neath Swansea Ospreys Rugby Club - Osprey
Newcastle United Football Club - Magpie
Newcastle Rugby Club - Falcon
Hannu, who art in Finland, Räbinä be thy name. Sim racers come, races are won, at Agari, as at Xupong. Give us this day our version 1.06, and forgive us all our impatience, as we race those who challenge against us. Lead us not into boredom, but deliver us from work. For thine is the GeneRally, and the AI, and the race cars. Amen!

Sorry, but it looks like I have to opt out. :(

Firstly, I thought that earlier stages will go faster, unfortunately I'm little busy right now.
Secondly, I've been thinking how to connect those two squares, and I have absolutely no idea at all. It seems impossible to me.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Without OlafK we are 3 participants short and I think if we're to see this project to completion we should make the squares available to guys, who have already made their squares in previous stages. :vsad:

This in a way defeats the purpose of Joint Effort style of trackmaking, as the idea is for every participant to add an equal bit to the track, but with so many people dropping out, this is the only solution I can think of. It would be best if the squares are given to people from stage 1 and 2, as at least one square has been made after theirs, but at this point we cannot afford to be picky. :kickcan:

So, we have 3 slots needed to be filled, if anyone, who has already made his square, would like to claim another, you're free to do so. :bg:

That's, IMO, not a really good idea. Maybe I can try to activate some guys from german forums ;)
Or probably some who jumped out earlier, can make squares now

I would be most happy to have new people on the project, but as you see, not just there's no new participants, even the "old" ones are dropping out.

Opinions much appreciated. :sweatdrop:
