I believe we should ditch the fastest lap in this track, since it's the lap you go into the pits...

I had a very good race, no hits, no mistakes, simply 9/10, only 0:2s slower than I practiced

I'm very happy with my time, and expect a nice result, as I battle for #1 spot on the team

I finally did a race that i was satisfied with. I made a couple of mistakes, but none of them were race threatening, and as such I expect to finish in the top 15. :cool2:

Some problems with AI (stupid Red, why you block me on last lap? X_X) but fairly good overall, I think... no missed checkpoints, which is what I was most worried about!

Hi, all! The first event of the 19th season of GRC is history now. 22 racer finished the British Petit Prix. It was a difficult one for many of you and big (the biggest on my mind in GRC) number of warnings and penalties prove it.

Lets talk about them under spoiler.
Alex has broken (at least it looks like) one of the oldest GR rule which says you're not allowed to save and load during the race. Next time it's DQ without hesitation.
Areen has used too much time to send his files. Just too much to close eyes on it.
MrBelch and White had one mistake for both. They logined but raced on wrong - training - track. You'll be bopped the next time.

Now about the rest of warnings. Some are clear and some need explanations about my further decisions.

Now. I accept one small late submit (1-3 minutes (2-6 in Masters race)) per season. The next small late submit leads to penalty.
Note: if you have slow connection, please warn me before the next event.

Restarting is closely related to late submittng. It's not allowed as soon as one driver finished his or her first lap as we try to make login races as close to reality as it's possible.

Next. Alex and Medal89 weren't included into replays, and it's obvious why. It's not penalty worth mistake but very unpleasant one.

And the last: those who will watch replay with Lotus Renault GP in it, please, check your settings before the second event and correct it if needed.
You can find resuts here and replays here. Congratulations to the winner! :bg:

Standings will be ready during the day. ;)

let me ask one question buka:
why don't you change the placement of the startings positions on the used tracks so that when you pick your driver as driver #1 in the menu you'll will always start from p1?
as far as i understand the randomized starting positions have been dropped in the new generally versions so that we don't have to use a savegame editor anymore, right?
just asking because the savegame editor is not working on my system (and i guess for some others it will be the same) and it feels like a penalty for me that i have to overtake all ai drivers before i can really start pushing.

But I did fix it. I was warned by XYY and I told that you may start from pole position. I even reuploaded the fixed version of GRC, didn't I? Sorry for confusing you. :sorry:

my bad, did not read the whole topic  i was just confused.... did not know that changing starting order to "points" solves the issue and that we are allowed to do so.

Just being interested, how comes that I'm 4th on the list and Mszostus is fifth? Not that I would like to give up my better place, but how was it decided?

Anyway, huge congrats to DrAanik for that faboulus race and anyone else who was faster/as fast as me.

Just went from a 6th place to a 19th...

I honestly did not know I had to install that track that downloads with the login, is there a difference between both?

I also did not restart after 1 lap raced, but I believe that's consequence of the first penalty

Oh well, on to the next race...

There can be difference, for example I sometimes change some small thing which I then seek on screen but basicaly there is recorded track record so it's easy to recognize.
