Do you think it's worth continuing this one and drop another track for it (at least for now, I would most likely finish it later.)? :yummy:

Not sure which year you're building but the pit is wrong and so is the last turn.

I guess that's because of the year.... They changed the last corner in 1968 (you can see the shape a bit on the border dithering :shhh: ) and moved the pits to the other side of the straight (when exactly I don't know). This is a version ~1965, but there'll be at least versions of two years.

Yeah I know, I've been struggling to make the infield look more appealing, but it's been a hard one since I wanted to have a finnish countryside feeling in overall, which keeps my options limited (or maybe it's just lack of skill :sweatdrop: ).

Glad to be back. Just re-installed GR last month and it seems impossible to just play without having the urge to work on a track at the same time. ;)

Here's the latest progress, I really hope the infield isn't too cluttered with vegetation.

The HMAP is finished? it seems to be none in your track, but past the hmap, the track looks very good, best zolder ever :)

Yes, hmap is done, but it isn't so noticeable. You can test it, you can dl the track below:

I agree with Otto (after test ride). Also don't forget to zoom in, please. Otherwise cool! :bg:

@ Niko K: you're right, I'm afraid, try to remove 3-4 trees and make there one small meadow too. :)

Zoom in? It's hard to have good zoom for 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio :x My friend told me to zoom it out cause the top and the bottom edges was cutted.

i tested it, but god! zoom in the track, please! use zoom value 90, it rarely fails and if it does, just fine tune a bit; And about the hmap, the track feels flat, in real life this track is bumpy as hell, and there are some 'up and down' sections :bg:

I would make it like promenade. I would make lake or river on left side near track. Track reminds me on my city's part.

i'm using WS 220, 255 don't fit well this, that in real life, is a very short and compact track .
I hope i finish it very soon :yummy:

EDIT: just to say one more thing, probably, on the track, there is not enough area for the skid pad on the centre of the track, i hope it will not prejudice the fidelity of the track. :(

That's no problem, Otto. Only keep there some simplied version or a hint/symbolic touch, after all whole rwl trackmaking is about this and only a margin of rwl details are in fact included by trackmakers in these tracks. ;)

Similarly like Areen, more hmap maybe. Also more details on the public roads in bottom and top (bit of dithering, dotted center line maybe if is etc).

HEDGE.png
WS 255 now, the track width is better for racing now, and i'm experimenting with hedges, it looks good, but it's a no for me, the hedge is higher than the concrete wall, but it's even safer than the hay bales and are more solid too. i'll just stay with the hay bales :)

I have two questions about this circuit:
1. This circuit exists anywhere? I mean, I don't know if it's rwl track layout or simply imaginated track (this track is suggested by user from GRPL according to layout picture).
2. Do you think that city surrounding is a good idea?

Any thoughts about my Riverside raceway posted at the beginning of this page? Is it bad or rather good? :shy:

@ XYY: it looks all right, only from picture hard to tell more e.g. if the eses work as should.

@ Areen: I have no clue, what it is, but it really looks like a street track, all curves looks like 1/2 of junction, so certainly good idea for the surroundings. :bg:
