It's Dijon from 1979, to be contemporary to my Interlagos; BTW, this track had something special, maybe it was the Villeneuve vs Arnoux, i dunno, but it's just great :yummy:
DRIVEABLE.png
Ivo: it's ready for the short layout now... maybe... this layout was last used on F1 in 1974, the hairpin was there in 1974 too?

I must say, that this track, Dijon-Prenois, have the most weird layout i've seen, drives very strangely too, at least on sim racing

99% done i think, but i feel the AI could be faster, could anyone kindly test the track, or, even better, make a new AI line for me? :shy:

@ Areen: keep it simple, try rather only one pit lane (the upper one) to have more space for true street feeling. :shhh:

Otherwise good but why are the armcos right next to the track? Since it's a [cir] there should be some space to go outside the track as well.

Very cool track, Niko K! I'd rather not have to attach what is overall well made.

Niko K, this is terrific :bg:

but there is two things here that somehow bugs me:
First, those cones on the pit entry, cars could get stuck behind them, at least this will not happen if you use moveable cones, and you could use less cones, it may even looks better

Second, the runoffs, they are 'bleeding' on the track, not a problem, but everything else looks so clean, you could separate it from the track with just two pixels of grass i think, you could use dirt too, it will not bleed and it mix well with sand

I use it in similar matter, not sure why Niko, but I personally think static cone is pretty good safety piece preventing from damage, when you or AI is bushed in full speed into the wall head-on. :)

:iagree: They are so huge, that a grass stripe and some slightly more complex texture (bit of border dust?) may make it less heavy.

I would back off that concrete wall and put a static cone here... but on the outside, well... everything is so safe on the outside already, yet, you can only hit hay bales and hedges, which none do damage.

Good input guys, I'll work on the sand runoffs to make them look more clean and put a few pixels of gap between them and the track itself. There's some gravel texture in them already but maybe I need to use another surface to add more contrast.

I'll think about the cones too, since you have a valid point, but so far the cones haven't caused any problems in AI testing.
