[stc] Morton Bay

Post by Dragon »

Hi guys! Here's my newest track!
To celebrate my victory in ToM election with one of my smallest tracks, here's Morton Bay: a long street circuit with a section that crosses a park.
It's a different track than my usual (only El Dragon is maybe bigger) so I tried to keep my usual style in a larger track and this is the result.:)
I hope you like it, enjoy and please leave a comment! :bg:

EDIT: Shorter version is available in this post!

Very nice track.

I think it could be one of the default tracks for GR2 :)

I really like that feelings of opened city. I mean, that track is not closed by walls and still you know where you have to go even with white road lines.

A much better take of one of my track's concepts (but maybe due to the WS, perhaps... ). Nevertheless, the track is very great and even deserves for another :tom: victory. Good luck there :)

The grid, possibly pole position on the other side of the road would give stronger position for T1 in the beginning of the race? That's only gameplay detail, except that I'd love also a short layout (directly from T1 on the diagonal road to bottom-right). :yummy: In top-right there's some room for increasing the street feeling (some more buildings or pedestrians), overall it looks wonderful, especially bottom half. :bg:

I was also going to ask for a shorter version, but seems that Trigger Happy was faster. Thanks for making that version too :) I agree about those things Trigger Happy complained and nothing else to add except that it could have some more hmap changes (at least on purpose built part). Now there seems to only one hmap change in the 1st corner.

It really deserves a ToM nomination, you've done a really great job ! :D Each configuration is really enjoyable - the shorter with its long backstretch and the longer with its left-right-left right corners in the right section. :) This left-right section (between parking place and two-lane road) resembles me to Hermanos Rodriguez track's "Eses" corners. :)
Hmap seems flat to me, but it's just my feeling. And scenery is really great, too ! :D

Greets,
Sorry for my spelling, i never learned english.

I agree with you there could be more hmap changes in this track. Besides hmap change in the 1st corner, there are also hmap changes between turn 7 and turn 8. ;)

I got inspired by Hermanos Rodriguez's track for that section. :bg:
