[roa] MountainSide

Post by TuomoH »

What we've got here is a road track with heavy hmap changes. It includes a serpentine section and a huge jump. The AI has been designed for the original Formula.

Please enjoy and let me know what you think about it! :cool2:

Wow, rarely I see a track that is as genuinely fun to drive on as this track - the jump and the ramp, the puddles on the track and the drop are all awesome. The track has quite an unique appearance and I like it a lot.

The thing that bothers me in this track is the POV, I understand what you're trying to do with it, and in that sense it's good, but it just bothers me that there is so much sky visible. It's not a big deal though, it doesn't ruin the track for me  Definitely a track that could become a classic :bg:

I guess I'm unable to give this track a nominal rating, but instead I give you a literal* jawdrop due to your artistic directions in this track. The reason why is obvious: top-level Hmaps.

Keep on making tracks like these :D
Y'all, I just woke up... what did I miss?

Absolutely brilliant!!
This Hmap must have cost a lot of time. Great job.

I just have some small points. These can be applied for most of your tracks and are not meant as criticism.
I´m not of fan of these tarmac hills (or spikes). Maybe because I´m a fan of realistic looking tracks. I would prefer them to look more like sandstone or boulders.
Also the placement of the houses kind of bugs me. They seem to be placed randomly without any relation to other objects or the Lmap.
(eg. there´s a puddle in the entrance of one house).
Same accounts for some of these grass, mud or ice-patches.
I know that´s your style and I can´t argue with that. But it just doesn´t suit my personal taste. :sweatdrop:

Not really, I don't think so. I didn't look at watch but it has to be less than one hour.

For me they were a revelation, gave the track the look I really liked. :)

When I was having fun while testing EXPinmin6 tracks, I was thinking "he should also make something larger with at least 20 secs long lap finally again too". I'm happy you didn't that clue. :D

Only pits, there are only 3, but in top-right corner is just enough room for a "crowd" pits. I'd be useful after that section with hairpins.

@reynaldo123: Hehe. :D

@Ivo: Thanks for the comment. :) Good point about the extra pit but no can do - I don't want any crowds in there. ;)

Still something else?
