There's no the abandoned WIP thread in Cars section, so I just left it here.

As you may not know, USSR was the only country except of UK who had its own national F1. Of course, they were crappy ones and were nothing to compare with real F1 cars. But anyway, I googled quite a lot for them and finally decided to make my own carpack. I planned to do as Jerrec did: create carpacks with 5-year range (1960, 1965, 1970 and 1975). Unfortunately, I get bored pretty soon. Actually, model making was fun, but creating physics and testing was a PITA. So I gave up a year ago after making only a few models - 6 or 7.

But only 1960 carpack was completely ready (except of physics), so here you have it.

GM-20 (I believe it means 'Gonochnaya Mashina 20' or 'Racing Machine 20'). The first soviet F1 car ever. It was used quite a long time - from 1957 till 1964 - with moderate success.



Vane Toomas (Old Toomas). Estonian 'homemade' car with unique mid-engine layout.



And finally GA-22 (I believe it means 'Gonochnyi Avtomobil 22' or 'Racing Automobile 22') - one of the best f1 cars in USSR, the so-called soviet Maserati 250F. There were three cars GA-22 which were used for more than 10 years.

It looks like the future TC3 Series cars. I'd like to see more TC3 eligible cars like Peugeot 308 GTI, Mazda 3 etc.

I see Ford Focus, Alfa Romeo (Gulietta? I don't know current models) and Peugeot 308.

One of the cars in the preview is the odd model Hyundai Velosteer. I see Opel Astra OPC, Mercedes CLA 45 AMG and Seat Leon Cup Racer as well

Someone ought to release a pack that is not actually cars, but manufacturer logos and allow other people to use them as long as credit is given.

Yeah, most of these have been done by me (even if there's some more to be done). If anyone would like to have them, I can give out a pack once I'll be better.

To be honest, one of my favorite things about your carsets, before the physics which I love, are the logos.

Sometime when I have time, I'm thinking of making a carpack along the lines of the old Netbook Racers carpack, chibi type cars of all sort of manufacturers that come together to race.

@ Gzehoo: they look good, looking forward for the release. The Corvette's front is a little bit funny for me, but that might be only our different vision in cars.

BTW I'm working on a WTCC anthology carpack from restart to today, currently I'm at half-time, seasons until 2009 are finished. ^^

I have to agree with Herbal, the Corvette front end doesn't really look like a Corvette to me. It's too flat. If there's some way you can put a point on the front it would look better (if you have a poly and a vertex to spare, that would be enough)

I based on pictures from Google when I created Corvette (for example, this). But it's still in progress, any suggestions are helpful
