What am I looking for when talking about racing simulators?? Good AI drivers, dirvers that will try to overtake me if I make a mistake or will make some "normal" (sane) moves so I don't pass them. That's what I looking for.
I guess iRacing is what you're looking for then, as it's a MMO (massive multiplayer online or something)
Is it free? I would want a good free simulator for PC...
iRacing is online-only. I had a 'test version' once ( ) to see what it was about. It is the best racing simulator ever, by far. It beats everything.
But quality comes at a price..
It's a shame the new one will have so few tracks compared to the amount of cars. There's going to be, what, 60 tracks.. And this number includes the variations of some tracks, so in reality it's propably somewhere between 40 and 50. And then there is going to be 4 versions of Motegi (bleh), (atleast)4 versions of Fuji, 3 versions of Suzuka... And who knows how many rally stages this number includes since WRC is one of the official series' in the game. And who knows how many of the tracks are ovals, since Nascar is another one of the official series'.
Well ok, one forum says the game should have 96 tracks.. Again, including the variations, except for the mirrored versions.

The odd-numbered GT's, 1 and 3, have always had less content... if things stay the same, GT6 will also be on the PS3 but it will have a lot more cars and tracks, etc. Of course, who knows what Sony is trying to do now...

Two rallies are confirmed: Rally Toscana and Rally Japan. And if all rumours are true, we'll also get the Stelvio

Ohh, Stelvio should be great!
And I guess Nordschleife will be the most driven track again.
I think they said at some point that GT6 will come on the next generation since making the new GT game takes so much time. It wouldn't come before the release of PS4.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWHJZHUisiE If even half of the video was taken ingame, the game will look... AMAZING! I was gasping the whole time I saw when I saw it live yesterday. And the release is on November 2 in US. Hopefully it comes to Europe atleast during the same month..
I was thinking about the Collector's Edition too, but it seems like I would only want the book from the box. I'm not sure if I want to pay 50 euros extra just for that. I have been trying to gather up some money and that's why I wouldn't want to spend that much...

Raphael actually got the release date for the game a bit wrong. It's actually sometime in November in Europe. The release was 2nd of November for North America. So there is still time until we actually get to play it. But luckily there's TDU2 to play while waiting!
And... YES! Get a PS3!
