That would be very, very dangerous. With how low F1 cars go, it could rip through the floor and into the driver. Even if he didn't, he would get severe back injuries.

Did anyone just see Michael Schumacher drift on the beginning of Q1? And talking about Schumacher, in Q2 he left the pits with 2 minutes to go and was in 17th and he's made it through into Q3 in 9th doing only one lap
EDIT: Alonso's got pole! Only a few minutes ago it happened but its' true! :heyea: :trampo:  :hyper:

Double post but Alonso is the winner! :winner: If it went on one more lap Vettel would have overtaken him. It was a nailbiting race :scared: And thanks to webber, Hamilton is finally firmly out of the title picture.

I think that Vettel wouldnt pass Alonso even if he would had 5 laps more. Just look at the race @ Hungaroring, Vettel wasnt able to even try to pass him. About that crash - I'm not sure did that was only Webber's fault.. Oh and something about Kubica's tires -> I dont know why does he changed tires if on pit-in lap he had got 2nd sector record.. Weird.
At least now we got only 4 serious candidates for the title..

Which 4? Hamilton has still more points than Button and Vettel, he's definitely not out. Button has 25 points gap to Webber. One victory.

But I think, that Hamilton was remarkably in front of Webber (at least half car), so Webber failed in braking by hit the car in front of him ...

And btw I was saying yesterday, that Alonso will win. :heyea:

Well, I think that Button havent got chances for a title because of that he's behind Hamilton and there are 4 races to go, I think Hamilton is leader in McLaren for sure so team will choose him to fight for championship now.

Well, there's only 5 points between them...

He had a tire puncture, but he managed to pit in before it was too late.

Most ridiculous thing I've ever seen. Did Kubica not have any more soft tyres?

Alright, being as the season is drawing to a close, who do you think is going to win the 2010 F1 season? I would add a poll to this thread but it's not mine. Will it be Alonso, winner of the past 2 races and dominated Bahrain with a 1-2? Or will it be Vettel who's been going strong since the 3rd race of 2009 and has a power to surprise? could it be Webber, the current tournament leader? Will Jenson Button win two drivers' championships in a row? Or is it Hamilton, seeking for revenge after losing the title in 2009? The answer is, you tell me.

@Alex: Added the poll. ;)

I hope that Webber gets the championship. I was supporting Vettel in the beginning of the season, but he proved that he is just not ready for the championship.

I'm quite sure Hamilton will screw up atleast once more during the last 4 races which takes him out of the title chase. Webber and Vettel are the only drivers from the title contenders who still have 2 fresh engines left. That's why Red Bull can still use the motors at full strength. And now since the race at South-Korea seems to be very unlikely, the situation gets even better for Webber.

So... Webber.

Edit: Hehe, little typo...

I would hope Hamilton or Button, but I have a horrible feeling that it will be Alonso as he has the momentum at the moment... :(

The Japanese qualifying is coming up in an hour so the thread is officially revived. I see that Webber has 63%, Alonso has 31% and Vettel has a 6% chance of winning the title according to gene-rally.com. @Lukeno94, if you liked them so much why didn't you vote?

I did vote (voted Alonso, hence my comment), and the Japanese qualifying is postponed until tomorrow morning. Keep up at the back. ;)

If you had noticed i posted the comment before it was confirmed. DAMN RAIN! :headbang:  I have planned to wake up at 6:50 am, watch Q1, Q2 and Q3 then it should finish at around 8am just when the race will start. Hamilton has replaced his gearbox and'll get a 5 place penalty. Just wanting to know, how many races had he done with the gearbox anyway? If it was 3 races he should have kept it.
