Hm. This round seems kinda challenging... I hope the best luck for those who are still about to race. And also luck for those who have already done their stints. Maybe you'll still can reach a good result :)

Anyways. There are 24 hours back! We have only 4 racers. Let's join them!

only 200? Less than 1 per lap? I'd say much more.

Survived until end, should be somewhere in the middle of field (terrible strategy). :)

Thanks for everyone's attendance! That was a pretty tricky race. Results will be coming in the middle of the week. Let's be looking forward it :yummy:

And to make that time last quicker...

I like my ghost on HL events but definitely not on TT events since they are so different types of events. In HL it gives a more competetive edge and makes me take more risks since there's always the next lap I can try to beat it in case I make a mistake. But on TT event it's crucial to be consistent and fighting with your own ghost is just going to make you do more errors.

@ Madd Dogg: no need to worry about promises, just tune them to changed reality. :)

Congrats to akouk, that was a God-like ride!

And :champa: for my 3rd place, I guess the experience of judging mad AIs from Le Mans races in chicane near Hunaudieres payed off. :bsmile: Pity for Alonso, very close to Tuomo.

Exciting race as it was expected and congrats for akouk, ofc!

This time we have a week-off again. But than... we will be heading for the no man's land where there is burning sunshine and endless oceans of desert. (And no AI-problems HAHA!)
In the connection of this round I have something for you:

Issue of the week #4
Do you usually listen to music while you loged in? I'm curious :)
Aw, and for Algeria I'd like to offer a special song for all the competitors' playlist :D

Round 03: Alone in the Desert
The longest track in this season. Algeria, one of the original World Tour tracks of GeneRally, is a long racetrack in the middle of a desert with lots of elevation changes and twisty corners.

NOTE: Remember that this is a time trial event! You must race with no AIs, and turn your ghost car OFF!

Nobody has logged in (yet).

To make the atmosphere a little warmer, it's time for...

Issue of the week #5
A few days ago, kuba posted a spreadsheet representing the comparison of number of attendants between compos with login system and without login system.

Will competition organizers still use the login system in the next few years? If you can come up with something better than a login system, what would it be?

Race done, lot of smooth full-throttle racing. :bsmile: And I managed pushing my limits all the race, lap after lap (not some steady safe pace-keeping). Hopefully strategy wasn't disastrous ... :sweatdrop:

Good luck to all!

After giving it a try to calculate I've got an interesting result. :geek:
Let's see which one is the best in the end though, those calculations didn't turn out best every time in the past :?

Hi, I'm login in about now :meditate: but I'm on a slow connection and my files will likely be some mins late, thanks :)

:bump: >>>Edit<<< :bump:
...back to you live as we're in lap 54, akouk's lucky number/ and there he is going in for another fast pit stop, while... oh look! a pit man dropped a tire and it's rolling down the pit lane, haha he's chasing it.../ i'd like to hear akouk's radio, right Ed? /yep, let's hope that boy brings back that tire today Dick haha!
what realy happened is that, playing on an unfamiliar keyboard and with GR in window mode, instead of hiting the brake key I pressed the "windows" key and I left the GR screen without pausing the game (if I was in full screen mode it would have paused automaticly) and so that little incident cost me about 10 sec

Ok, round 3 has already been over for some time now.

We are probably starting to check the results in a few moments.

Apologies for the delays. We have been busy dealing with stuffs IRL, and Madd Dogg says that I should check the results this round, and here it is. :worried:
(I know this competition has not been done to our usual standards, but with our issues keep pounding, please bear with us!)

Results are available here.
Also here are the updated drivers and teams championship.

Replays are coming soon, as I kept having errors while trying to merge the replay files. :taped:
EDIT: unfortunately, as Ivo pointed out here, we can't really merge replays for a TT event with this version of Save Merger, so no replays this round. :(

Notes:
-After considering the notes sent by akouk about his late submit, we have decided to CANCEL his penalty.
-Dany raced with AIs, while this is a TT event, we've decided to file this under "wrong settings" so his penalty would be a DNF.
