Re: Gran Turismo GR
(doing this to revive both Gt related topics) Alonsomania, how will the car crediting system work? Will it be based on a complicated algorithm that uses performance and rarity to determine the price? Or will they just be manually be put in by you/Haruna Say?

Re: Gran Turismo GR
What do you mean? How much a car will cost? That is done manually.
Re: Gran Turismo GR
Well, but some cars can be differently-priced just because they are concepts/tuned cars/racers/old cars/other vehicles, like bikes:
I'll make an example: the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-12R, a very fast bike, can't cost the "real value" of $10.999, because anyone could buy it very early, making the game boring (because it's way faster than other vehicles: with that money you can buy just compact cars [or used crappish Japanese imports, like the Silvia I named in one of my posts xD])
I say this also for proposing a thing: adding bikes in a future add-on (not many, just some, because with 40 polies it's also difficult to make differently-shaped bikes )

Re: Gran Turismo GR
Here you already make the conclusion that every car is available for purchase, which is not. And it wouldn´t make the game boring, as who says you can use that vehicle in every race?
Bikes may come at a later date, and so will rallying.

greeeeeeeat!!!!
Yea, I know that not all cars can be bought, like in original GT games... but IMO it's also a bit stupid that a ****ing Subaru 360 costs 36000$ haha

Re: Gran Turismo GR
Considering it is a classic car and quite rare nowadays I guess that price is right. Costs are based upon rarity/new purchase prize, and used rare cars will pop up a lot less than common cars.xyz wrote:greeeeeeeat!!!!

Re: Gran Turismo GR
That price was intended for a NEW subaru 360, bought directly from the Subaru dealership and not from the used car lot...
and, for continuing this series, here another example:
Nissan Skyline Sport Coupé (model BLRA-3)
(67 BHP, 155 Km/h)
331.700 Credits (more or less)
WOW... it needs to be VERY VERY rare for having a price like that... xD
and it is quite useless, because not only it lacks in power, but it's also very tail-heavy, so very sensible to weight transfer (that means, it tends to spin out very very easily, even if it has got only 67 BHP...)

Personally I think that the top speeds of these are badly reported. In fact, all K-class cars (Japanese cars with less than 64 BHP and shorter than 3.4m) are electronically governed to 130 KM/H, so 53 MPH for the Toppo is maybe too low, and 99 for the Pajero is way too much.

Just don't expect it, currently scheduled somewhere around December.

Re: Gran Turismo GR
How much interested would there be in '3rd party add-ons' (if you can speak like that about it!)? It's not like it's undoable, if people want it i'll make sure I'll document how to add content (which I will also make available at a later date).

I think it's tough to know that for sure until we see the actual released game...Alonsomania wrote:How much interested would there be in '3rd party add-ons' (if you can speak like that about it!)? I like short, simple signatures!
Re: Gran Turismo GR
I think I would be in, it could be updated later like rFactor, and other authors' stuff could be added too (but just manually... ^^)

Re: Gran Turismo GR
Updating is quite easy; user needs to fill in a code so the DLC/add-on becomes 'activated'. After activating it will pop up in the settings menu where the add-on can be installed into GTGR.
