Your decision about class. You have a possibility to participate as Pro due to the license.

BTW. Now we have 2 cars with open roof - Lynx LMP Mk1 and Braymore ip-09 OP1.

Fangirling about cars below
The sheer variety of cars makes me happy.

For being based off of the WEC, an event with a common formula that rarely gets innovation, I thought that most every car would look roughly the same, minus some things on the front end: a mid-engined, mid-cockpit car with flat sides, and a flat back with the engine in the middle.

Instead, every car seems to have its own distinct appearance, such as my own car's wing and open cockpit, Puttz's unique take on the common layout with a spaceship-like appearance, Rosenberger's front-engined machine, and now Trigger Happy's open-cockpit prototype with very interesting fenders and lights.

Next thing you know someone's gonna separate the cockpit and fenders http://wtf1.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/20 ... 2285_o.jpg Or even a front-cockpit racer https://madfolchismad.files.wordpress.c ... oyce-8.jpg The latter probably wouldn't look quite like that, but it'd be a funny thing to see regardless. Hopefully people don't stop making strange, unique, or just beautiful-looking machines.

On an unrelated note, where is Trigger Happy's car for download? It's not in the competition pack, so unless it's on his own website, IDK.
And why is the car listed as American, yet his team and himself as Czechoslovakian?

@up, Czechoslovakia is dissolute into Czech Republic and Slovakia since 1993.

I'll upload all cars on website in the future when I'll make IES archives.

And flag on Trigger Happy's car is American as in previous season TH said Braymore is American constructor despite the fact that Scuderia Minardi Jaguara is Czech team.

BTW. Still one month (4 weeks) left to vote for tracks for 6h races.

I can say the same, I like seeing all the different takes on a class of cars that has so much opportunity for uniqueness. This and open wheel cars make for a lot of diversity, GRTCC cars and GTT cars not as much but still have some uniqueness. That's one thing that's great about these GR series that allow entrants to make their own cars to a specification, when everyone makes their own car instead of having a ton of customer cars from one or two carmakers there's so much cool stuff.

I had only sent it to Gzehoo on e-mail for scrutineering, I guess it'll be in next gamepack update (after election end?), I can upload it here with my team 0-4 livery until then. :) Other teams are free use it too, may edit livery and the customizable physic values (if rules allow it - I'm not sure actually, if it's allowed only to constructor to decide before scrutineering or to each team at the time of its entry), but may not change the model.

And about the flags, Gzehoo is right. :)

And BTW I like most the Wulff chassis, I'd be my personal choise otherwise. :bg:

Yes. Exactly.
Trigger Happy wrote:Other teams are free use it too, may edit livery and the customizable physic values (if rules allow it(...) )
Changing physic values from already created car is not allowed, so if you are going to use already created car, physic must stay as it is.

Fortunately, I'm looking on every car and team painting and nobody broke any rules.

Just to remind that still 2 weeks left to vote for tracks.

OK, now very important news:

At this moment, 2 tracks (Salzburgring and Poznań) are confirmed as 6h races hosts.

The rest 4 tracks we will decide in another voting (also by PM).

From all tracks with 3 votes (all European, including Brno) you'll select one.
From all tracks with 2 votes (all non-European, except Brno) you'll select three.
One country - one track.

1. European tracks (1 to select):
-Anderstorp (SWE)
-Brands Hatch (GBR)
-Brno (CZE)
-Castelloli (SPA)
-Vallelunga (ITA)
-Zandvoort (NED)

2. Non-European tracks (3 to select):
-Ansan (KOR)
-Autopolis (JPN)
-Brasilia (BRA)
-Buenos Aires (ARG)
-Curitibia (BRA)
-Mt Tremblant (CAN)
-Zwartkops (RSA)

Deadline for this voting is at 11th September. After that, pack will be again updated.

Everybody can vote - even people who didn't vote at the first time.
Who already voted?

-Gzehoo
-Montagnhard
-Daniel Rosenberger
-RobertRacer
-Marcinho
Don't understand me bad - I just didn't expect that TOP7 voted tracks will be only European circuits, and personally I don't want only European tracks in my compo. Even in GTT I have an iron rule that I should make at least 4 races out of Europe.

BTW. Competition pack is updated for version 0.2 which contains all 'blank' cars and team paintings.

As I'm now on vacations out of home and I don't have any access to login files, I'm extending deadline for Laguna Seca 4h to 31st August. If anybody will sign up in the meantime, he'll get a login info after I'll back.

BTW. Still 12 days left for the second track voting (4 posts above).

IMPORTANT!!!

Competition moved for the next 2 weeks!!!

I don't know why, but I lost everything from FTP panel on my domain gzehoo.pl.

I didn't have any problems with that one year ago, but now it is a problem because I'm not sure if I have everything on my PC.

But I hope to recover it as soon as possible.

@Gzehoo:
I'm sorry, but I'll have to resign from IES :( . I made a post why and I hope you'll understand...

If anyone wants to take my place at Wulff Racing, send me a PM or say on this post, otherwise I'll have to resign the team as well.

It's time to make it clear:

What happened with IES official website?

Well, ies.gzehoo.pl is a subdomain of my own domain gzehoo.pl and the FTP server for my website is located on cba.pl hosting. But the main cba.pl servers are in Leaseweb server room, located in Amsterdam.

And at 25th August, the Dutch police took over one of their (cba.pl) servers, because one website, hosted on cba.pl had an illegal content and the police without any earlier notification has taken the server. Now, some accounts on cba.pl are giving back to the users, but first PRO and VIP accounts and then FREE accounts. Because my account is FREE, I have to wait longer than PRO and VIP users.

And because they can give me back everything what I had on my account in 100%, I can't do anything on my panel because I'll lose it.
I'll try to make "alternative" website for IES and alternative login, until I won't get back my FTP server.
It would take some time, but as I wrote earlier, competition is moved for the next 2 weeks.

Gzehoo wrote:I had also another idea:
Am Drivers Standings would base only on results from 6h races.

It doesn't mean that Amateurs cannot start in Sebring or Le Mans.
All races would be counted in overall Drivers Classification, but for Am Drivers Standings only results from 6h races would be counted.
Amateurs will be able to join longer races, but without counting them for their sub-classification.

I just don't want to force anybody to start in the 30- and 60-minutes races, where are no more than 5-6 drivers - although it would be good to see a lot of drivers on grid, even in shorter races.
Is this rule still in effect? I'll probably not be able to partake in the 12- and 24-hour races, but the 6s and 4 of Mazda I can probably manage.
