I have been recently in a creative mode, so I've just started to work on some cars. Well, this is a result of that jabbing around in car editor.
For physics, I've used Resi's physics tools, with some tweaks on it. The car is quick, and for getting around, you might need to lift the gas in curve. As for models, I've used some blueprints, and you may also notice some differences, too. For example, McLaren and Stewart have their nose fairly low, while Ferrari and Arrows had it fairly high.
