If you ask:

This sucks!!!! Crappy layout and lines are just s**t. Though, you added some run offs and what we can consider to be "dithering" even if it's only big sand spots...

Always there to say you that you suck, TGF :bg:

what a stupid comment. was there really any point in saying that?

anyway, yeah, a typical kind of 'very first track' really, so i advise you to check these out...

http://gene-rally.com/viewforum.php?f=9

also if you are using trackeditor to make a layout, increase the 'rope length' slider, and keep a simple layout, and make it wide enough ;)

Well, of course you know this isn't a very good track.
But IMO TGF's behavior isn't ok.
The track's not good, but don't give up building tracks!
export the landmap and edit it with paint...

If you're trying to be funny you failed, if you're acting seriously you failed at being a good member.
I bet he asked for a constructive comment, not an insult.

@ nummer: nice that you got into the art of trackmaking and welcome to this forum :). You can understand many things looking at tracks made by other members in the Track subforum :)
You can also check Tutorial section and see many cool stuff :)
Try to use External editors like Paint and be sure to learn by heart read the Trackmaker's Bible :flip:

You tried to joke by this hard way many times, TGF, and other said you many times, that they don't consider it to be funny and even more, that they feel it strongly offensive. So this time I decided to warn you officially: omit to do aggressive, impolite and abusive comments with dirty words to other people or you may be temporarily or even perpetually banned from this forum.

After awhile I just got used to TGF being blunt in his responses, whether it is to say something positive or negative. It's all right as long as you don't take it personally I guess.

Now somethings to say about the track.

Pit Lane:
- The Pit-men should not be in the middle of the pit lane, rather they should be beside the pit lane for the cars to pull over into.
- Also, the pit lane should take longer to drive through than the normal part of the track. This can be done by adding chicane's at the entrance/exit or make it harder to enter the pit lane like narrowing the road.

Bridge:
- There is a bump before the bridge and I think it is better if it was smooth.
- Since it is a beach track... maybe you would want to extend your pond to the top-left edges of the map. I don't think there is enough water to create the beach sand.

Checkpoints:
- I can see the finish line, and it does not extend to the full width of the pit lane, so if a racer is not careful, they could go through the pit and miss a lap!

If you learn to use external editors and import your LMAP you will improve very quickly. :) The link Bouncebackability sent you is great! There is a lot of helpful information there.

Keep making tracks!

Whats with the registered version thing? Is that some kind of a banner/ad attached to your image? Join my site and you get the water in the track! :eyes:
Well, its a typical starting track made with the generally trackeditor. You could do the HMAP in the GRHMEDIT and landscape in SnakeDitor or GIMP. Geometric objects can be created in SnakeDitor. To download these programs, go to tools & utillities.

This is not self-advertising - he just show example - one his unfinished track, which evolves - as friendly hint. The TGF's behavior was different, it was direct advertisement of his own car telling ''download mine instead of this car''. ;)
