Disclaimer
This competition is a test to see if a login system without a website is viable. So it will be a one race event. It may have failures, or you may encounter problems, but I'll do my best to provide a quick solution if needed. It's part of the test. If this competition is successful, I'll share all instructions for you to do a competition as well if you want to.


So, curious about how it works ? Are you excited to do a GR comp in 2025 like the old days ? Well join us ! Everyone welcome, and it's only one race so no worries it's cool, just for fun.

For this test, I chose Hanoï, in 2020, in Mini F1. Remember Hanoï, this cancelled F1 circuit from 2020, and never been raced ?

Well it's time to give it a chance in mini size !

Login System
So how it works ?

Simple. It works with Excel sheets and Google Drive. You need to have a google account if you want to participate.

Of course, I can check if you used the right settings, right cars, right track, your login time.

To make it simple, no one can choose the same car/team, apart if there's lot of players. In this case I will open new places but there will be only 2 max drivers per team/car.

I'll send you a PM with a link to your Excel Sheet/Login System at the start of the competition (see Calendar section)


Calendar
. Hanoï by aliman, with Mini F1 by RudyOosterndijk (physics and colors changed for this comp). To make it simple, no quali ; only a race with everyone starting at first place.

Competition and Login System will begin on November 22th, 2025 (I will send you the needed link by PM at this date). Login System will be close on November 30th, 2025, 23:00:00 GMT. All files sent after this date and hour will not count.

Results will come few days after.


General rules and settings
Login time is race time + 3 minutes.

Penalties will apply if you have more than race time + 3 minutes.. Additional time will be penalized as follow : 1 mn more : 5 seconds and 2 mn more : 10 seconds. If a player have more than 3 minutes more than the race time + 3 minutes, he will be DSQ (disqualified).

If you have the wrong settings, wrong track, wrong cars or modified them, you'll be DSQ.

Already preset but here they are for a quick reminder.
. Race length : 15 km
. Tyre wear : 12 %
. Fuel consumption : 8 %
. Fuel mass : 60 kg
. Damage : 30 %
. Starting order : Points
. Points will not be awarded as it's a one race event.
. Palette : Fake GR2 Sat Col B
. Sound set : F1 by Xmilek but you can choose Default if you want.
. No AI.
. No Ghosts.
. Create your driver and select your chosen car from the provided carpack.
. At least 1 mandatory pit stop, but you'll need to do 1 anyway.


Tools
You have several tools provided in the comp folder :
. Comp_zipper_12 by Marcinho, which allows a quick zip conversion of your comp files.
. GeneRallyAnalysisTool by Lerhond, which allows you to check your sector times along with your racing lines with a visualization of the track (Track Editor view)
. SaveGameReader by Juan, which allows you to check your save and see your race time (in GR you can only see your best lap time), among other things.


Mandatory files are :
. Screenshot (.bmp) by pressing F11 or F12 after you finished your race, before or during the results appearing.
. Replay file (.gam) with your name.
. The provided track file from the Excel sheet (.trk)
. All files in a zip file with your name.

I just added a User's Manuel for this new system, to find on the first post on my thread, for you all to get familiar with it before doing the real thing.

You'll see it's pretty simple for you, like a traditional LS, apart from the fact that there's no login or password to type ; only select "Start" and "Finish".

I'm super happy because I have found a way to get precise LS times up to seconds from Start to Finish !

So the LS files are changed and the User's Manual just changed a little bit as well. Not more complex for you luckily, but eager to test if everything's working as intended.

It works also with OpenOffice?

I don't know, but Excel or Google Sheets is free to use if you have a Google account and provides interesting options that OpenOffice may not have.

You may want to use LibreOffice instead, as it's an evolution of OpenOffice. I use it regularly and it works great.

Welcome F1 fans and F1 drivers ! Welcome to Hanoï F1 street circuit.

Yes, a street circuit. As such it's not an easy track, as a bad move can lead you to crash into a wall. Luckily our drivers are well prepared, but there's no certainty that there will not be some damage on the track. We can expect some spectacular events here. And if it wasn't enough this track is pretty technical, wearing tires more than normal, and this long straight is the only respite that our drivers will have. Eager to see the pit stop strategy of each team there.

Weather is nice today, few clouds at the horizon. Be careful with the sun as you apply BodySun on your skin, the respectful and only natural ingredients sunscreen, generously filled with Phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid and Methoxypropylamino cyclohexenylidene ethoxyethylcyanoacetate !

Stands are full and we hear them well, as drivers are heading to the grid.

Well, I asume the Racing Bulls are also on in the car set (or any previous name they had). But Racing Point is okay. All cars are equal, right?

Only the ones listed in the first post are in the car set. But you're right it was lacking in it, sorry about this. I can prepare it for you if you want.

The car will be at the same physics like the other ones, but only the colors will change. I will share it publicly here, that way everyone can check if it's the same as the other ones.

All cars are equal in physics yes, only the teams and colors are different.

I have a personal suggestion, if possible... For the next races, or if we do a short F1 season, it would be nice if the race was random, and if you could find out where to race when you download the track via the Excel module... maybe giving you 5 more minutes to do some test laps.

It have been made before by Jo.sk and it was a good surprise and event, but now there's way to cheat with this. I'll just say 2 words : Multiple accounts.

That way you can download the track on your false account, get a DNF but it's ok, and then on your real account you can train on it as long as you want before doing your real race.

Or if you have friends you can share with them as well to be the best in each race.

So a good idea in itself, because of the surprise and for the equal training time for all, but in execution it can be difficult to control.
