Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2015 [HL/Race] [Login]
I managed a high 158 kph (fastest lap: 27.76) yesterday evening after an hour of testing and from pole position. That's about 4 seconds behind Alonso but my race was a bit rough around the edges. So the times and the general speed is not the problem.majortom wrote: The key for winning is to be fast in login, be fast with worse tires
and taking the right pitstop strategy.
Alonso and Maclape have a precision and a consistency (even when they make tiny mistakes) that is mind-blowing.
Sure, please check your PMs later today.Pablinho18 wrote: I have a one question, can i join?

No. Login is open!GR Driver wrote:It's closed again now?
It is certainly not enough for the best practice times. But Malaysia QF wasn't exactly as quick as I expected. Soo... It's not entirely impossible.GR Driver wrote:Btw. is a 23.3/23.4 good for the pole position?

Re: PGR F1 World Championship 2015 [HL/Race] [Login]
well, actually for me is the opposite since I still have to get used to the tyre wearing probably, but the result is that after some laps I feel like driving in the mud and it's really influencing the race, as you all can see proof is, I didn't even consider to do the malaysian race with only one stop (I ended doing 3!).Buka wrote:Thanks. I wonder why someone would even try two pits. These tires have such low impact on my personal driving style, that I never considered changing them twice. Speed of the car - that's the real challenge, because I've slow reaction.Trigger Happy wrote:Good strategy, with 2 stops I was barely on 152. BTW my Q times are usually almost a "surprise login" (taking a part to avoid starts from pit lane), I seriously practice only before race.
plus, this is very true:
and thanks majortom, interesting facts!RudyOosterndijk wrote:Alonso and Maclape have a precision and a consistency (even when they make tiny mistakes) that is mind-blowing.

Well, I won't expect a ''very good'' result in Qualifying, but I hope, I'll get a starting place in the Top10. And no, I didn't made my login.

Yeah Rudy was spot on with his tweet...I've applied totally different driving style in comparison with first two rounds.(I was surprised no one came up with that )
However, race is gonna be completely different story. With tyre wear QF driving style would be pointless.
Painless overtaking of AI's will be crucial for good result here.
Good luck to all

The race settings are the same again:
Alonso, maclape and quite a lot of Germans at the top of the table. I guess our neighbors Kuba, Mszostus, Fiolek etc. took a more conservative approach and concentrate on a strong race. Gzehoo usually catches up as well.
Mariospiniello was a bit unlucky with what could have also been another top 7 position. Argentinian Pablinho joined us during the session without any testing. And after a promising first round of the season 2012 Italian GP winner Happy412 and 2009 Belgian GP pole-sitter GR Driver are struggling a bit at the moment.
The practice tracks are out already. Good luck to everybody!

Robert's login attempt took place before yours. In case of the same result this is used as a tie-breaker.zgr wrote: Ehm, I don't understand it, what does it mean? sorry

Well, I'm a little disappointed that I didn't made it in the Top10, but I still saw that. And I'm also not a good hotlapper, I'm better at racing with continuous times and full car.
In Australia I was also in a similar situation. In Qualifying I had the same time like Majortom. But because I logged in earlier, I have become the 10th place before Majortom.zgr wrote:Aaaah yes, now I see that we had the same time thanksRudyOosterndijk wrote:Robert's login attempt took place before yours. Well, you can still participate at the 3rd race (Bahrain), but you'll have to start from the box.
