A Warehouse and a Gas station would be good objects too. And something like a wall with safety fences, to avoid the use of lights to represent them.

Also maybe to change the games' Lmap palette when editing in Ms paint so it uses the full 16 bit 256 colour palette instead of just using 16 of them. You could get dark green or light blue by default instead of the same colours.

It could be a problem...
Because most of this colours are to sun effect and will stay static and ugly... :shake:

Currently, the track record and best times will be deleted when you save a track in the editor. I would like to see the opposite, because minor changes to circuits are more common. You can still delete the records within the game itself if a major change requires it.

I also want to mention that I know the trick to prevent deleting the records with the current version. ;)

Cars have pit stops only for refuel now, so let them stop when tires go completely even if fuel is still there.

by the way, I wrote about blue flag, and want to supplement it.
It's huge that the gap between a badly damaged car and a fine car. It causes crashes.
I think damaged cars shouldn't terminate others except for when they are actually in a battle for a place. Or if fine cars hesitate overtaking, crashes will be avoided.

Well, just my idea, so I don't know these are good for you guys.

I think you may wish to reread that post as it is quite confusing - it contradicts itself. ;) Pitstops are probably fine as-is, anything else is too complicated and not GeneRallyish. A blue flag would be reasonable, but damaged cars don't usually affect other cars too badly ;)

Try hitting a fully damaged car on straight with you going full speed. ;)

Ah, my bad - something else I struggled to understand in his post. In that case, I agree, there should be a better overtaking method for the AI than bashing everyone off the road. :D

How about, in windowed mode, the ability to maximize so it stretches to fill the screen, but leaving the task bar and program bar free to use, and other programs as well?

i meen that the driver can fall from the bike, when you turn the bike incline, and all the things that the bikes do :mrgreen:

Hi there,
I posted this in the bug report section before because I'm not quite sure if it's a bug or a feature,but when driving alone the laptimes are much better than in a race with other AI-drivers.

In a race with others you have more grip on skidmarks than on the plain track but in time trial mode the track "acts" like there are skidmarks all over the surface and you go way faster. I think the grip of the car in time trial should behave the same way as in a race against others,more grip on skidmarks, less on plain track, or it could be added an overall "Realistic Grip On/Off" option that works for time trial and race the same way.

I deleted your bug report since as I said in your thread, it's really not a bug, and more specifically it isn't a new bug for 1.10 what is the purpose of that thread. ;)

I have a idea, you can load a car from the car file (yeah said before), but you could make driving lines for it. That would be good for city maps.

Also a better handling would be great, although Ive already perfected my drifting cars handling...

I don't think changing the physics engine in terms of handling would be a good idea, but a more logical balance between power and weight WOULD be good (but not to break compatibility with the old style, so any changes would have to have an auto-convert or something... xD)

Thinking about it, maybe the top speed in CE should affect the VMAX in game (although obviously not how it gets there), and a revs/engine noise value can take the current speed's place (since speed only majorly affects the engine noise)?

What about preloaded setups such as realistic (fuel doesn't run out for a long time etc.) scaled realistic (like realistic only scaled down so 4 laps round MdP's De La Sarthe will require you to need a pitstop) original Generally (the original setup) and many other presets the user can create.
