[gtc] Lamborghini Gallardo

Post by winr »

I am so happy that the GR International Forum is back! I am Sentry435 from RSC.

I am introducing my collection of realistic GR cars here by starting with the Gallardo.
For the appearance and modelling I have taken the real dimensions of the cars as well as their wheelbase in inches and divided them by 8 to use them as X, Y, and Z values (height is divided by 4). This helps me make sure all cars are sized correctly in relation to each other (that was always a problem for me).

My style of physics may seem slow.
That is meant the simulate the gradual acceleration towards top speed.
Also the grip levels are not very high.
That is meant to force the player to consider braking points before turns.

Includes:
Gallardo
Gallardo Special Edition
Gallardo Superleggera
Gallardo LP560-4
Gallardo LP550-2 Valentino Balboni
Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera

Do you feel that they are realistic? If not, why?

Stay tuned for more cars. They will all be tuned relative to each other.
(Honda, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Nissan, Lotus, Ford, etc...)

*Updated to v1.1
- Lower grip values
- Increased slide values

Those lambos look really good :iagree:  :wow:
But IMO you could have used one more vertex on each side for the headlamps...

Hello Friend, Visually the cars meet excellent, it is a pleasure to lead it and well-considered well the physics, they are sports cars with which the points of stopped and the radiuses of drafts it is necessary to bear in mind very, the speed is the ideal one and very realist, gives you anxiety for running in a long straight line, really I congratulate you and thank you for the delivery, we wait for other one models of cars. Regards and good adventures friends. :bg: :woohoo:

Real gallardo would slide in corner without slow steering and . If you want to do very realistic, you have to put so much power that it burns in starts and goes for a slide that slows you down in corners. Also handling needs to be more faster and If you want extra realistic, make steering values very fast (2,5) and add more weight to make the car have a realistic and slower steering response. Dont forget to add power if you add weight! :bg:

For my taste the physics is almost ideal. I said "almost", because there's one thing, which could be improved if you aim to realism, I mean sliding value. Now physics is very good for experienced drivers, because you have to always keep the car on the good line and drive it carefully all time, unless worn tyres don't make any problem for you :misch:. But when the tyres aren't fresh, the car slips way too hard (grip is completely lost). I suggest to set negative value of sliding, I tried it and I have to say it's much better. Firstly, it helps to keep tyres fresh, secondly, car is given additional grip, even when the tyres are worn.

The car editor I am using currently has limitations on how low/high I can set the values, so I haven't been able to experiment with negative/extreme settings for car physics.

Which editor can I use to make set those extreme values?

The car now slides a bit, so you must be careful to not lose speed in the turns.
Breaking has also become even more crucial. Feel the cars at the limit!

Can't say anything new - those lambos are superb. i also am a fon of making realistic cars. it's getting more and more difficult once You're starting to make a lot of cars. the best way is to make probably the slowes car You will ever make and than the fastest. tht way You will be able to make other cars relevant to those two extreme cases. it will make all cars easier to make.
